As a key figure of the implementation of physical education curriculum, physical education teachers play a decisive role in the success of innovation. The reform of the eighth core curricula has been implemented for more than ten years, but how is the effect of physical education curriculum reform? To what extent do the PE teachers accept the advice of the new curriculum and change their roles and behaviors? What are the factors that promote or hinder the PE teachers to implement the new curriculum? In the crucial stage of the reform, it is worthwhile to study and summarize the experience and lessons. In order to further understand the implementation of the new curriculum in high school, the paper does some theoretical exploration and empirical research based on the high school teachers in Fujian and Zhejiang with the CBAM theory and some other methods as documentation, interviewing, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and so on. The results of the research are as follows:Result1:The evaluation scale of middle school PE teacher’s curriculum implementation degree and the scale of affecting factors have been developed. The evaluation scale includes "Stages of concern Scale","Level of Implementation Scale" and "Innovation Configuration Scale." The affecting factors scale is composed of27subjects, including P.E teacher’s attitude, ability, quality, students, curriculum reform scheme, sports culture and so on. The above scales have comparatively good validity and reliability due to the analysis of exploratory and confirmatory factors and the test of reliability and validity.Result2:Based on the investigation of the PE teachers in Fujian and Zhejiang, the paper analyzes the current situation of the new curriculum implementation and characteristics. On the emotional latitude, the number of teachers at information/personal stage is largest (35.9%), the number of teachers at consequence/cooperation stage is the second (30.1%), the next is the refocusing stage, operational stage and consciousness stage. What’s more, PE teachers in different demographic background have different influence on their curriculum implementation degree. On the behavior dimension, high school P.E teachers have an uneven level in the implementation of the new curriculum. The proportion of teachers in orientation is22 %and the proportion of teacher in renewing is36.4%. However, the proportion of teachers who do not implement the new curriculum is up to26.5%. In addition, there are some differences in the curriculum implementation on different demographic characteristics. On the innovation configuration dimensions, the mean score of the four main components were3points or more. It shows that we have gained some success in of the new curriculum reform during the past ten years. However, although a lot of changes have taken place in the classroom teaching, we have not achieved our ideal goals in the teaching methods, teaching evaluation, curriculum resource development. What’s more, statistics show that the implementation of the new curriculum to different demographic characteristics can produce the different effects.Result3:The paper makes an investigation and analysis by using self-made scale of affecting factors. The results show that the main five factors have important influence on P.E teacher curriculum implementation degree.39.9%of P.E teachers think that teacher’s attitudes to the curriculum reform is the biggest factor that influences their curriculum implementation,32.4%of P.E teachers think that it is a teacher’s ability and quality that determine the curriculum implementation,20.4%of P.E teachers think that it is the curriculum plan,21.1%of P.E teachers consider that it is students,19.2%of P.E teachers think that it is sports culture. At the same time, it further analyzes the main affecting factors in emotion, behavior and innovation configuration. The result shows that the main influencing factors are not identical for the P.E teachers in different care development stages and different implementation level stages. Teacher’s ability and quality and students are main influencing factors of middle school P.E teachers innovation Configuration, which shows we should take measures on the basis of the teacher’s actual situation in order to promote the curriculum implementation of the PE teachers in high school.Result4:The paper puts forward a scientific intervention program, in order to further enhance the curriculum implementation in PE teaching in high school. Based on the CBAM theory, it also proposes a clear blue print in the reform of PE curricula, that is to improve the PE new curriculum reform programs and resources supply, to promote PE teachers’professional development, to improve the knowledge structure, to enhance the awareness of the course, to establish a sound course implementation supervision system, and to build a number of new sports organizations and so on. |
