Man-land relationship is the core research areas of the geography. The right view ofman-land relationship is the necessary geographic literacy of world qualified citizens in nowand future. Since the early1980s,“Clarifying the man-land relationship correctly” has been abasic idea of geography textbook being compiled. In practice, due to lack of the methodologywhich can guide geography textbook to clarify the man-land relationship correctly, mostpeople use their experience to grasp the direction, breadth and depth of “clarifying theman-land relationship correctly”To some extent, it reduces the level of geography textbooksbeing compiled. From the perspective of geography textbooks evaluation, whether it reallycorrectly clarifying the man-land relationship has been in the state of “the benevolent seebenevolence and the wise see wisdom”, because of lacking scientific and systematicevaluation criterion.So,systematic research and study related to the content of man-landrelationship compiled and the current situation of man-land relationship evaluated in highschool geography textbooks is always a research topic which has great theoretical andpractical values in compiling senior middle school geography textbooks.On the basis of the literature discussion, paper analyzes and summaries the basic contentof man-land relationship ideology at first. Starting from the content system of man-landrelationship ideology, paper proposes the corresponding directional requirements of theman-land relationship content about the senior middle school geography textbooks beingcompiled. As a logical starting point, this paper builds a “road map” of clarifying theman-land relationship of the senior middle school geography textbooks correctly. On the basisof this logical starting, the paper designs questionnaire, gets the comments and suggestionsabout “road map” of experts and researchers in the domain of human geography andgeography curriculum and pedagogy in order to revise and improve the “road map” ofman-land relationship about high school geography textbooks being compiled.Then, based onthe "road map", the paper proposes the basic strategies about the man-land relationshipcontent about high school geography textbooks being compiled. According this basicframework, the paper also builds evaluation index system which is used to evaluate if thegeography textbooks really clarify the man-land relationship.The paper also proposessuggestions and strategies to estimate the textbooks in clarifying the man-land relasionship.The whole paper includes three components---the introduction, the main text and theconclusion. The main text is composed by review, theoretical research and practical research,following class field theory. The introduction analyzes the research background of this paper in terms of theimportance of man-land relationship and the problems in current the senior middle schoolgeography textbooks being compiled,.The introduction clariifies the theoretical and practicalsignificance of this study, proposes research questions and objectives, and points out thetechnical line and techniques.Firstly, the main text explores the contents of the concept of man-land relationship, theman-land contradictions connotation, the discipline of man-land relationship and the mainman-land relationship doctrine, so more systematically sorts out and sums up the basiccontents of man-land relationship.The man-land relationship has a directive function inselecting contents, perspective,and depth,and can be the methodology basis and logical startpoint for geography textbooks clarifying man-land relationship.According to the basic contentof the thought of the man-land relationship,the paper proposed the perspective of geographytextbooks clarifying man-land relationship.This perspective can be used as a “roadmap” tocompile the content about man-land relationship in senior highschool geographytextbooks.Firstly,the compilers should have a overall consideration about the proportion andposition of “human’s impact on environment”,“environment’s impact on human”and“harmony between environment and human”.Then, according to the students’ cognitivedevelopment level, compilers can choose and present relative content in textbooks.To revise and improve the “road map”the paper developed expert questionnaire, consultedthe comments and suggestions of expert to the “road map” which is constructed by this paper.According to the comments and suggestions of expert,writer revised and improved the partcontent of the “road map”.Taking the revised “road map” as methodology basis, it proposesthe basic strategies of compiling man-land relationship in high geography textbook, and alsoanalyzes the relevant examples.On the basis of the reality of the lack of the scientific evaluation criterion which canevaluates if the textbooks really clarify the man-land relationship, according to the man-landrelationship “road map”, through questionnaire consulting the advices from relevant expert ofthe importance of every index the senior middle school geography textbooks curriculum, thispaper determines the relative weight value of every index and formulates the evaluation IndexSystem which is used to evaluate if the geography textbooks really clarify the man-landrelationship.In the part of conclusions and outlook, this paper summarizes the theories of man-landrelationship and their directional requirements, the basic strategies and the textbookevaluation’s paths and methods for the man-land relationship compiled in geographytextbooks. At the same time, this study makes outlook of research directions and contentswhich need deep study, and points out limitations of this study.
