Research On The Population Quality Evaluation And Development Strategy In Western China

Facing the conditions of the complicated external environment and internal factors, the author of this dissertation, by using population quality theory, fuzzy analytic hierarchy process method and clustering analysis, analyzes the basic connotation of Chinese population quality, the status of population quality and its key factors, as well as evaluation system and development strategic, which can make a guidance for the development of China West population quality.Taking western population quality development as a breakthrough point, this dissertation enriches and develops the theory of population quality in the west of China. It consists of three parts.The first part is about the theoretic exploration of population quality:1. explaining the concept of population, including its quantity, quality, structure, distribution and migration;2. discussing the basic characteristics of the western regions, especially12provinces from the view of quantity, distribution, structure and quality of population.The second part is about the analysis on current situation of Chinese population quality focusing on population health quality, scientific and cultural quality and moral quality in western China. As for population health quality, this dissertation pays close attention to life expectancy, infant mortality, incidence rate of birth defects and the disabled, proportion of population mortality rate, infectious diseases and chronic diseases, the nutritional status of the population, etc; as for scientific and cultural quality, to the illiteracy rate, the number of the educated per100000people in secondary and higher professional schools and colleges, the average years of education, the percentage of graduates into higher level education, the innovation of science and technology, and the status of professional and technical personnel; as for moral quality, to the concept change of giving birth, awareness of opening up, market and competitive awareness, income and life quality, gender equality and ethnic equality, etc.The third part is about comprehensive evaluation on development strategy of population quality in Western China. In this dissertation, the author, firstly, with the help of fuzzy and AHP, constructs a decision model for the key factors of the western China population quality, and determines weights of the indexes of western population health quality, scientific culture quality and moral quality, then makes a quantitative analysis of the fuzzy evaluation on the western region and the12provinces; secondly, the author establishes a model of clustering analysis for western population quality evaluation, by empirical analysis on the selected20variables of west population quality evaluation factors, classifies the western12provinces into three categories; thirdly, according to clustering results, using the trend analysis method, the author analyzes the influencing factors to put forward the strategic conception on development of Chinese west population quality systematically; finally, with the results of comprehensive analysis, proposes the paths and strategies for improvement of Chinese western population quality.
