The culture and ideology theory, the spiritual production theory, the cultural leadership theory and the soft power of culture theory in Marxism are the theoretical foundation for us to understand the relation between the culture construction and the Paths of the Popularization of Marxism. The Popularization of Marxism manifests the Marxist’s guiding role in the culture construction. Furthermore, the Popularization of Marxism is the core mission in the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. The development and prosperity of socialist culture help us to push the popularization of Marxism forward. We should attach importance to the view of the culture construction while exploring the paths of the popularization of Marxism, and focus on "the humanistic features" in different regions. This is a summary of historical experience; furthermore, it is the requirement of the contemporary popularization of Marxism. The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is the province with the most population of minority nationality in China. To study the paths of popularization of Marxism in this minority region has important significance in theory and practice.It was the early development of the popularization of Marxism in Guangxi from the May 4th Movement broke out in Beijing in 1919 until the foundation of new China. The progressive intellectuals who came from Guangxi province played an important role in propagating Marxism in the area. During the period of Revolutionary Base Area in the Zuo Jiang and You Jiang Region, The 7th Red Army, the 8th Red Army and the Soviet Government widely publicized Marxism, carried out the agrarian revolution and established base areas, drew up and carried out a series of policies and measures to develop the region’s culture and education, which were widely acclaimed and supported by the public in the minority areas. During the period of Anti-Japanese War, the CPC grasped the leadership of the Guilin cultural movement firmly, and propagated the CPC’s proposition of building the national united front to anti Japanese aggressors, which greatly inspired the Guangxi people’s spirit in the days of Anti-Japanese War. During the war of Liberation, according to the new policies of action in the light of the changing situation, the Guangxi Organization of the CPC mobilized the masses to carry out fighting against civil war and dictatorship, striving for peace and democracy, which created necessary conditions with public opinion and solid mass foundation for the PLA men to liberate Guangxi. It was the pioneering period of the popularization of Marxism in Guangxi from the beginning of the founding of new China until the early 1980s.The whole culture and art of Guangxi were thoroughly revitalized in the 1950s. And the popularization of Marxism in the minority region was going on smoothly. But afterward, the culture and art of Guangxi suffered a lot during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, and the popularization of Marxism in the minority region was in the depression for a decade. After order out of chaos, emancipatory thought, and the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee, the new dawn of the cultural and art reappeared in the Guangxi minority region, and a new era of the popularization of Marxism came. It’s the comprehensive promotion period of the popularization of Marxism in Guangxi from 1980s until today. The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region’s cultural level was upgraded overall, through the projects to establish social and cultural advanced counties, to built thousands of cultural corridor, and to push Knowledge Sharing, etc. Furthermore, with the "two kinds of learning activities" carrying out, the idea of "the Four Guangxi’s Construction " puting forward, the strategy of building national culture area designing and puting into effect, "the spirits of Guangxi " condensing, the propagandist brand of "Gui Lixin" formed, the activities of "Beautiful Guangxi · Cleaning Countryside(Ecological Countryside)"and the educational practice about the mass line of the CPC are promoted, along with the idea of "the Chinese Dream" and the ideology of "Four Comprehensives" are widely propagated in Guangxi, a series of new characteristics of the popularization of Marxism in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region are manifested overall.After systematically study and assess the history of the popularization of Marxism in Guangxi, we conclude that there are six main paths of the popularization of Marxism in the minority region. Firstly, we should carry out the training and education of Party members and cadres in the minority region to strengthen their abilities to lead the masses. Secondly, variety of communications media with ethnic origins should be put to disseminate the Marxism universally. Thirdly, we should develop the ethnic minority cultural undertakings, and take advantage of the function of advanced culture to educate people. Fourthly, we should make use of the advanced character’s educative role and some social forces, pay more attention to making the propaganda work together with all quarters strength. Fifthly, we should lay emphasis on national unity education, and promote to make the minority concentrate on region harmony. Sixthly, we should learn from the advanced experience of other areas, and push the popularization of Marxism in minority region forward. There are four characteristics about the paths of the popularization of Marxism in the Guangxi minority region:The first characteristic is that the tasks and goals about the paths of the popularization of Marxism in minority region are revolved around realizing the interests of the masses. The second is that the ethnic features are distinct. The third is that it adopts multi-level and many-sided safeguards. The last characteristic is that the development tendency is more varied and integrated.Truly, the popularization of Marxism in minority region is a complex, tough, long-term and systematic project. There are still a lot of trouble and limiting factors on the way to choosing and realizing the paths of the popularization of Marxism in the Guangxi minority region. For example, the paths are not functioning smoothly enough, not transparently enough, not perfectly enough, and the application is not flexible enough, etc. All these could adversely affect the popularization of Marxism in the Guangxi minority region. In the new period and situation, we consider that it is still necessary to explore and make innovations, to improve and perfect the paths of the popularization of Marxism. First of all, great efforts should be made to develop the national education to build a strong foundation of the popularization of Marxism in the Guangxi minority region. We should pay attention to enriching the content of national education, along with improving the quality of education and promoting the equity of education. Furthermore, we should develop and enrich the forms of national education from the reality of minority region.The second, we should attach importance to the people’s cultural livelihood in the Guangxi minority region, and broaden the paths of the popularization of Marxism. The construction of public cultural service system should be strengthened in the minority region. At the same time, the ethnic cultural industry should be developed strenuously, and those healthy mass cultural activities should be advocated and organized effectively.The third, we should take full advantage of the outstanding cultural resources in the Guangxi minority region, and open up other new paths of the popularization of Marxism, especially we should look for the common ground among the excellent national traditional culture, red culture resources and Marxism. So as to promote national people’s self-identity on Marxism.The fourth, we should establish and improve the organization, system and mechanisms for the popularization of Marxism in the Guangxi minority region. we should follow the thought of "making overall plans and take all factors into consideration" and the principle of "people-oriented". We can establish" A centre of pushing ahead with the popularization of Marxism in the minority region", improve the security system of the popularization of Marxism about talented people, finance, rewards and penalties, etc, and improve some essential practice mechanisms, such as propagation, feedback and assistant, etc. |
