The concept of specific space that author mentioned in this thesis refers to the actual space that works demonstrated in; expressive space which represents the acoustical impression and expression of imagery. Among which, the acoustic layout and environment stands for actual space of works; expressive space including the acoustical impression, expression of imagery, and the artistic values the works possessing. Additionally, composer’s manipulation of numerous elements like frequency, timbre, rhythm, the motion of sound, et cetera which makes them well-organized vertically and develop horizontally embodies spatial organization of multi-elements as well. The integral interpretation of a piece is composed mutually by those three elements. For starters, Actual Space initiates the conception of pieces; spatial organization of multi-elements is utilized to demonstrate work’s expressive space, and those are the entities that will be discussed in this thesis. History has been filled with the resemble stories, composers, artists make their great efforts on the concept of space, and try to get fresh aural experience. The evolution of electronic music definitely contributes to the progress of performance methods, spacial expressive force of music and space weighs more to music structure. Electronic music, a significant component to contemporary music, digs rather thorough into the conception-space. With the constant development of technology, the boundary of diverse art classes have been blurred gradually, as a result, the blending of electronic music and other forms of art begins its appearance; the performance methods of electronic music have been largely broaden; the composing methods applied to electronic music are not only inheriting from the traditional composing approaches, but absorbing the diversity of producing means from applied music. Back to origin, those work still rely on the appropriate artistic aesthetics and domination of music structure from composer. The author is going to discuss how does certain space exert influence on music language or both directions and how does multiplets organize in works via representative works of contemporary electronic music, in order to illumine artists’ creation theoretically.With the enter point of specific space, this thesis grabs the evidence from the analysis, which includes the interpretation of structure, organizational methods and reciprocal impacts between certain space and music syntax, and the research of electronic music composing concept and technique they used in aspects of composing technique theories, which will draw the practical technique from composing level to theory, under the examples of two eventful works Karlheinz Stockhausen-Spiral, Pierre Boulez-Repons and couples of contemporary composers’works. The analysis of several representative and characteristic works on multiplets spacial organization along with the induction of their own traits, will trigger composers’deliberation.
