Since the reform and opening- up, with the development of service industry, public facilities, as the lives’ materials supporting of the people who living in China, have significantly increased in size both on investment and construction. The current operating public facilities, low efficiency and customer service satisfaction are important reasons for restricting its rapid development. Due to the characteristics of population and national conditions in C hina, the public facilities, show the characteristics of large scale, comprehensive functions, etc., which can bring about the problem of architectonic complicacy. As the medium of communication between users and the building environment, signage’s badly layout exerts effects on the facilities’ service function. There are 99 relevant national standards or industry standards in our country, and about 20 standards do with the issue of setting point and contents of the signage, but compare with America, Japan, Hong Kong or Taiwan, our standards are lack of comprehensive cover both in technical parameters and study issues. Moreover, academic researchers in C hina never go in-depth on this issue as foreign researcher do. There is a huge gap in research foundation, input energy and the achievements between our research and the foreign research on this issue, which result in the lack of theoretical conclusions has led to the lack of theoretical basis in the practical works.This research study how to optimize the service capacity of signage system in public facility :(1) Modify inter-connection density, which is used to evaluate the architecture complexity of building, by empirical method. Then based on this, the transformation relationship between the architecture complexity and the easy of wayfinding.(2) Based on the characters of wayfinding behaviors in public facilities, use the evolutionary game theory discuss the wayfinding behaviors both of the newcomers and the familiars. By establishing the game models between newcomers and between newcomers and familiars, the evolutionary stable strategy of each group has been analyzed. The relationship among pedestrians, signage and building environment have discussed by analyzing the relevant parameters.(3) O n the basis of preliminary conclusion about signage layout coming from the wayfinding behaviors analyzing, giving fully consideration of factors relative with built environment and signage system, use VI model to study the signage layout method in multi- floor public facilities: firstly, take in multi- floor as a factor in this research, which overcome the defects of single space in current studies and also narrow the gap between academic research and reality in this field.Secondly, Sequence-pair, used to determine the relative position of module in graphic design, are used in this study to number the signage setting locations and describe the relative position of this setting locations. This make the problems of setting location clear and work out the issue of locations repeated calculation. Thirdly, using a typical variable metric method named BFGS to modify the traditional SA. This new algorithm show out its advantage of high accuracy, easy programming and less calculation. At last, using this Optimiztation model, an empirical research are carried out in JN west railway station.
