Facing the phenomenon of “subjectivity expansion”, “the two opposite thinking” and the “segmentation and domination” which are produced in the modern west worlds, Vincent Shen advocates that those phenomenon could be mediated through the strategies of “contrastive philosophy” and “strangification”. Contrastive Philosophy puts subject and system, synchronic and longitudinal, meaning and structure, conscious efforts and the subconscious decisions into the contrast, and it respects for diversity, belonging to a whole at the same time. Strangification strategy is the further development of the contrastive philosophy, and it goes out of our mind, walking to multiple others from the meaning of methodology. From the strategy of contrastive philosophy to strangification, Shen constructs a multiple contrastive, generous extrapolative and charge and harmony philosophy system, and applies this system into the construction of science and humanities, traditional and modern and intercultural philosophy. In the contrast situation of science and humanities, he suggests to rebuild the new science model with the priority of humanities and social science, which are based on Chinese philosophy. In the contrast situation of tradition and modern, he suggests to interpret the modern meaning of Confucianism again, and connect the traditional Chinese culture to the modernization from the fundamental parts. In the construction of intercultural philosophy, he aims at overcome the discrimination of domination and opposition, and based on the background of globalization, rebuilding the culture pattern of equality and interaction. All in all, as a representative of Taiwan Neo-Scholasticism, Shen not only inherits the inherent tradition, but also guides the pure philosophy, ethical and practical turning of Neo-Scholasticism, and provides a creative thought of the development of Chinese culture and world civilization.
