Objective:To study the expression of POT1 gene in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. To explore the relationship between POT1 gene and the pathological grade or clinical stage in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.Metheods:The 60 cases of non-small cell lung cancer specimens were collected from non-small cell lung cancer surgery patients; The experiment was divided into two groups:the group of non-small cell lung cancer, the group of adjacent tissues. RNA were extracted from each group and the expression of POT1 gene were detected using RT-PCR.Results:The optical density value of POT1 mRNA in non-small cell lung cancer was 0.1611±0.0469, the optical density value of POT1 mRNA in adjacent tissues was 0.2632±0.1061, the optical density value of POT1 mRNA in non-small cell lung cance was lower than the optical density value of POT1 mRNA in adjacent tissues, the difference between the non-small cell lung cancer group and adjacent tissues group was statistically significant (P< 0.05); The difference of the optical density value of POT1 mRNA in non-small cell lung cancer with pathological grade was not statistically significant; the difference of the optical density value of POT1 mRNA in non-small cell lung cancer with clinical stage was not statistically significant.Conclusion:The expression of POT1 in non-small cell lung cancer tissues was lower than that in adjacent tissues. The expression level of POT1 mRNA in different gender, age, long-term smoking, T-grading, clinical stage, lymph node metastases, EGFR and KRAS mutation indicated no statistical difference.
