Although our country is short in land resource, the efficiency of the land utilization is low and the average is lower than that of the international level. The construction of Colleges and universities campus before often adopts extensive land use pattern and low density development mode, which is a waste of land resource and disadvantageous to the Colleges management and the future sustainable development. In consideration of the continuous demand of land resource for the development construction of higher education in our country, intensive campus is the choice of more high school construction in the future. However, the issue of intensive campus does not mean the more intensive the better and we should take the space quality into consideration. In my opinion, the key problems of the intensive campus construction are how to guarantee the space quality when achieving the intensive campus environment and different space form will achieve different intensive extent and different space quality. Therefore, this paper will use qualitativeandquantitative research methods to analyze and discuss the relevance between the space form and the quality of interior and outdoor space. This paper will also explore some reasonable methods to improve the intensive extent ofColleges and universities campus in terms of specific climate condition.This paper focuses on the relevance of space form, intensive extent and space quality of intensive campus. The research is carried out mainly following three aspects above and there have been some preliminary conclusions:1. On the basis of research on intensive campus cases and construction theory, this paper uses empirical research to explore the relationship between the space form and space quality of intensive campus firstly. I selected some typical cases to do the questionnaire of construct environment evaluation. Based on the experts in relevant areas and the feedback of the questionnaires, I set up an index system and method of subjective evaluation of intensive campus. I also analyze the questionnaires statistically and explore the design factors that have important effect on the space quality of intensive campus in view of users’ need.2.Different group layouts and monomer mass will bring different intensive extent and lead to different space features, which determine the interior space quality.Learning from Professor Rudy’s research method, I use math model and statistic diagram to do dynamic stimulation analysis with several indexes and compare different effect that different group layouts and monomer mass have on the interior space in campus. In the research some indexes are set immobilization or variable to explore the change trend of target index, which enables different effects that different space form have on the interior space quality to be comparable. Besides, I revised the “facade index” according to the special need of lighting environment in educational buildings and thus put forward a index called “Coefficient of external contact”, which can be used to simplify the method of stimulating the interior space quality of educational building and do the comparative research of the monomer mass change.3. The research on the outdoor environment quality of intensive campus should take the climate condition into consideration. In the research I took a research method "mapping urban diversity" of Professor Koen in the University of Cambridge as a reference and explored the relationship between the campus space form and outdoor space quality by quantitative research. I selected some typical intensive campus cases and stimulating the micro climate conditions in terms of many influence factors of the campus outdoor space. Then I combined the layout of the campus with the mapping urban diversity to find out the district with the worst micro environment condition and much people flow, which helps to adjust the space form of relevant district. After many times of stimulationcomparison, it can achieve the improvement of campus space form in terms of specific climate condition and diversity condition.
