This paper is mainly about:Mordern Architectural modeling basic teaching and its training melhod. The content includes:Relationship between plastic arts and architectural design; function and significance of plastic art teaching in architectural design teaching:content analysis and practical teaching study of architectural modeling basic course. The paper analyzes the close relationship between architectural design and plastic arts from a historical perspective, as well as the mutual influence and effect of plastic arts and architectural design in present visual arts system; emphasizes the mutual combination of "modeling presentation skill" and "creative thinking design capacity" in architectural modeling teaching, and plays a positive role of modeling basic teaching in architectural design basic teaching.Studying from the teaching itself, the paper makes a scientific analysis of teaching thought and curriculum plan, which enables the architectural modeling basic course to own the characters of systematization and regularity. The study summarizes the development history of Chinese architectural arts teaching from theoretical and practical levels, analyzes the drawbacks of present architectural modeling basic teaching in China, compares with the advanced achievements of developed countries in the field of architectural modeling basic teaching, expounds the important role played by modeling basic teaching to cultivate the talents major in architectural design, and puts forward the teaching thought adopted by current architectural modeling basic teaching in China. The aim of this study is to let students realize that architectural design is not only the planned beauty in form, but also the penetration of "accidental" or "unconscious" artistic expression forms by the designers through their experience of "perceptual element" of plastic art in modeling courses, which breaks superficial cognition that architectural design is just a service-type innovation activity.In the practical teaching research, the paper makes a discourse of teaching instance from the aspects of practical teaching and appreciation teaching. puts the creative thinking course and color course as the key courses of architectural modeling practical teaching, and develops series creative thinking courses and color application courses independently, which have been testified by teaching practice. Arts appreciation teaching mainly analyses Chinese contemporary art form and international contemporary art exhibition, whose teaching purpose is to broaden students’ art horizons, and improve contemporary artistic accomplishment of architectural students. The paper emphasizes "feeling process of artistic practice" and "behavior method of artistic observation" in specific teaching practice study, all the curriculum provisions are developed to cultivate students’"artistic creativity". The result of systematic study shows that architectural modeling basic teaching is a key part of architectural basic teaching, also the key factor for realizing "innovation thoughts" of inner-architecture entire teaching, and the best methods for activating students’"sensibility quality" as well, which can foster their capacities of artistic observation, artistic expression, aesthetic appreciation and artistic creation.
