The ecological rights of citizens is an important part and the important content ofhuman rights as the economic rights political rights cultural rights social rightsetc. The ecological rights of citizens are closely related with people’s lives and it is animportant condition for human’s free and all-round development. The survival anddevelopment of mankind cannot do without the natural environment. The harmonybetween man and nature is the basis for the sustainable development of human society.The ecological environment is public including almost all the people’s interests onearth. Once the natural environment is damaged the survival and development ofhuman beings will become water without a source without trees the whole societywill have no future. Theory on the ecological rights of Marx and Engels’ is theimportant theory using the historical materialism to explain the rules of natural law ofdevelopment social development. It reflects the ecological discourse of the Marxdoctrine highlighted the strategic value of human ecological security. And it is theideological weapon to the promotion of ecological civilization construction ofcontemporary Chinese conducive to promoting the construction of modernecological human development and ecological civilization.The theory of ecological rights is an important part of Marx and Engels’secological theory and the theory of human. And study on the ecological theory cannotdo without discussion of ecological rights. Marx and Engels are very concerned aboutthe ecological rights are committed to research and question. Although Marx and Engelsdidn’t explicitly put forward the concept of ecological interests in theirworks which contain rich thought on human especially the proletariat and the massesof working people. The important value Marx and Engels created the theory of scientificsocialism is getting rid of the natural and social oppression achieving reconciliation between man and nature and human and social reconciliation.The formation of Marx and Engels’ thought on ecological interests based on theirplight of the working class the capitalist system chronic illness care powerfulattack and the ecological interests keen insight into the great value. This thought is thatpeople should not become the ecological destroyer but should cherish maintain andenjoy the ecological. It is an important content of Marx and Engels’ theory on theecological rights to study on the relationship between man and nature ofcivilization as a confrontation in the process. The rights of the people and the natural areunified; we should adhere to the principle of ecological justice protect and develop theecological rights of human in understanding and grasping the laws of nature safeguardthe rights and interests of the ecological and development of the humannature understanding and grasp oppose and criticize the anthropocentrism anddo good ecological environment construction. The thought of Marx and Engels onecological interests points out that the origin of human rights system of ecologicaldestruction. Ecological disaster is caused by the general phenomenon of the capitalist.The capitalist industry anti ecological capitalism and the contradiction betweencity and countryside in the capitalist society damaged the ecosystem violated theecological interests of the proletariat and the broad masses of the working people.Compared with capitalism the communist society has the superiority there is nothingcomparable to this in the maintenance and realization of human rights on theecological and the communist society can solve the ecological interests ofthe realization problem fundamentally.
