| Typhoon disaster is one of the major natural disasters in the southeast coast region of China. The risk assessment of typhoon disaster is very difficult due to its complex mechanism and numerous disaster chains. At present, there are still many challenges to evaluate typhoon disaster risk and express the risk assessment results. This dissertation presents a typhoon disaster chains integrated risk assessment model based on multi-dimensional matrix and an expression method of natural disaster risk information TUPU. The main contents and conclusions are presented as follows:(1) Theory of integrated risk assessment of typhoon disaster chains. The basic concepts involved in the typhoon disaster chains risk assessment were defined. Then the current existing natural disaster risk assessment models, assessment processes and assessment methods were summarized. The following is that typhoon disaster chains integrated risk system was established. A comprehensive theoretical framework for typhoon disaster chains risk assessment was constructed. Finally, the typhoon disaster chains risk assessment method based on GIS and multi-dimensional matrix was proposed.(2) Case study of typhoon disaster chains integrated risk assessment model based on GIS and multi-dimensional matrix.Taking Fujian province as a large-scale example, according to its characteristics of typhoon landing positions, hazard-formative environment and hazard-affected bodies, the patterns of typhoon disaster chains were defined based on typhoon disaster mechanism analysis and previous studies. Then the scenario-driven typhoon disaster chains risk analysis of typhoon landing positions was completed from three aspects:disaster-causing factors, hazard-formative environment and hazard-affected bodies. The large-scale typhoon disaster chains integrated risk assessment was carried out based on the combination methods of indicator system, multi-dimensional matrix and scenario analysis.Taking Xiamen as the meso-scale study area, according to the characteristics of typhoon disaster-causing factors, hazard-formative environment and hazard-affected bodies, the meso-scale integrated risk assessment of typhoon-rainstorm disaster chain was carried out based on the vulnerability of population and land use types.Maolinxi watershed in Tong’an, Xiamen is a small-scale study area. According to the characteristics analysis of typhoon rainstorm, hazard-formative environment and hazard-affected bodies, the scenario simulation was carried out and the flash floods inundation depths and ranges under various scenarios were obtained. Then based on the features of disaster chain system in this study area, the vulnerability and damage assessment methods were established. Finally, the small-scale comprehensive risk assessment of typhoon-rainstorm-flash flood disaster chain based on land use types was achieved. The three case studies above show that the integrated disaster chains risk assessment model based on GIS and multi-dimensional matrix not only can implement a comprehensive risk assessment for disaster chains, but also the risk assessment for single disaster-causing factor or single hazard-affected body. And this model makes the expression of the risk assessment results more flexible and multiform, which could provide disaster risk information for different agencies or departments. Thereby, it provides the decision support for personalized customization of disaster mitigation plans.(3) Expression pattern of information TUPU for typhoon disaster chains integrated risk.Based on the theory of Geo-info-TUPU, a framework of natural disaster risk information TUPU was built according to the existing defects of conventional expression patterns of risk assessments. Taking the result of large-scale typhoon disaster chains integrated risk assessment as an example, typhoon disaster chains integrated risk information TUPU of Fujian Province was extracted from three aspects:symptom TUPU, diagnose TUPU and implement TUPU. Then the mind map and multi-view method were introduced to explore the multi-dimensional dynamic expression of information TUPU for typhoon disaster chains integrated risk. The result shows that the mind map method can clearly reveal the structure of typhoon disaster chains integrated risk indicators, which could help users to unearth, analyze and reconstruct all kinds of risk information and theirs logical relationship. The multi-view visualization method can enhance the multi-dimensional, dynamic and interoperable effects of knowledge maps of information TUPU for typhoon disaster chains integrated risk, which will make the analysis of law of risk spatial pattern more efficient. |
