The bauxite is an urgently needed mineral resource in China and the bauxite consumption rank forefront in the world in the recently teen years. The foreigndependencyrate of China’s bauxite hasreached60%in2011. The imbalance between bauxite supply and demand is very conspicuous, which affect the national security of aluminum and sustainable development for aluminum industry resource. Therefore, new metallogenic theory and prospecting methods for achieve prospecting breakthrough is urgent. The bauxite deposits in the Wuchuan-Zheng’an-Daozhen (WZD) area, northern Guizhou Province, located near the southern margin of the Yangtze Block, are important bauxite resources of bauxite belt of the middle Guizhou and south Chongqing. The WZD bauxite deposit is one of the first batches of47whole mount exploration areas with excellent conditions for mineralization. However, it is an area with lower research degree and the prospecting results are not very well, In this study, based on the latest achievements in the research on international tourist city, geology, mineralogy, elemental geochemistry and detrital zircon geochronology are used to determine the metallogenitic condition, sedimentary environment and provenance of the WZD bauxite deposits, more details of the ore-forming process are revealed, the metallogenitic regulation and prospecting criteria is summarize, and the metallogenic model of the bauxite deposits in the WZD area is established. In addition, combination of remote sensing and geophysical methods, the metallogenic prediction system and prospecting model are summarized, and significant prospecting breakthroughs are made. The main results are as follows:1. The key factors that controlling the bauxite deposits and the meralization process and metallogenic regularity of them in the northern part of the northern GuizhouProvince, and theoretical support for the further prospecting are summarized.Based on regional tectonic evolution, petrographic section, mineral composition, detrital zircon U-Pb dating, and ore deposit geochemistry, the bauxite mineralization is suggested to be closely related to regional tectonic events with a shallow lake depositional environment, the aluminum minerals are mainly diaspore and boehmite, the mineralization age is~277Ma which is consistent with ore-bearing rocks, the Permian Liangshan group, suggested that the deposits are hosted in the Silurian Hangjiadian Group, and the final provenance is the regional volcanic basement, bauxite is rare and dispersed elements reached, moreover, rare minerals are identified in the rare reach layers, and finally, the metallogenic model is established, the regional metallogenic regularity is summarized with would provide theoretical support for the further prospecting.2. Based on study of the metallogenic regularity combining with remote sensing information and geophysical anomalies, the prospecting mark is summarized, and the Technical prospecting system is build.Based on study of the metallogenic theory, the lithofacies palaeogeography, structure, lithology, and the ancient topography are suggested to be the key factors that controlling the bauxite deposits, and topography, lithofacies paleogeography, syncline, hosted rock and bottom rock, and groundwater are the key prospecting marks. The prospecting mark is summarized, and the Technical prospecting system is build according to remote sensing information and geophysical anomalies.3. Achieve significant breakthrough of prospecting according to the combination of metallogenic and prospecting model.Based on the main ore-controlling factors, remote sensing image interpretation, geophysical surveys and integrated criteria for ore prospecting, syncline as tectonic units along with the outcrop ore-bearing rocks, the extent and level of geological work of know deposits, twelve metallogenic prospects are identified which include five I class, two Ⅱ class, five Ⅲ class. Moreover, some of the metallogenic prospects have been testified by drillings in the areas such as Wachangping, Dazhuyuan in Wuchuang, Xinmu-Yanxi in zheng’an, and Xinmin in Daozhen...
