Growing family businesseses play more and more important role in China society.Chinese family businesses expect to transform to a modern management model from a traditional family management model. More and more family businesses realize the importance of the external management resources, hoping to achieve family business development by leaps and bounds with new management resources. Therefore, solving issues on relationship and trust between family business and professional managers, and achieving effective integration of external management resources based on fully authorized are crucial to the growth of family business.Family businesses are in general awareness of their lack of professionalism, and in urgent need of introduction of professional managers as well. But they are poorly understood how to trust a professional manager, and what kind of relationship can be built with professional managers.Therefore, the core issue of this paper is what kind of trust pattern constructed by the relationship situation between family business owners and professional managers, and what kind of impact on the professional manager's behavior by this trust pattern. This paper will extend discussion on this issue in the view of professional managers'gaining trust from leaders (or leaders' trusting their subordinates). In the view of organization situation, to discussed how to form a stable trust pattern in family business, and professional managers'behavioral responses in this patternThis paper first reviews the findings on family business research, the Chinese family business leader - member exchange (LMX), trust-related research, and construct the concept model and research model based on theoretical derivation. After that, a research questionnaire is formed by taking standard steps of scale development and using a variety of methods of test item development.Matched-pair analysis method is used in this study. Pre-research and formal researches are launched in Zhejiang, Shanghai and Jiangsu. Explore factor analysis (EFA) is implemented based on the statistics, and then the model's reliability and validity are tested by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).Finally, in the view of trust pattern, the mechanism that the family business owner's trust affects professional managers'behavior is discussed. This paper constructs a structure model of "relationship situation - subordinates trust - subordinates performance" and analyzes the reasons and consequences of the formation of bilateral trust, considering the professional managers gaining trust in the organizational situation where family business is located. To relate the professional manager's perceivable condition in organization to his attitude and behavioral performance makes the model has certain predictability and explanatory power. The low trust and relationship conflict between family business owners and professional managers, common existed in practice, are explained.Based on research, main conclusions are as follows:1. Professional's perception of relationship situation in family business will affect the formation of trust relationship, forming different trust patterns based on relationship situation summary. This pattern is also organization situation of trust in family business owners and professional managers.2. Subordinates'emotional trust is significant for professional managers to perceive situation and express attitude to the organization. It reflects the relationship between professional managers'relationship perception and loyalty.3. Subordinates'trust has a very positive impact on professional managers'attitudes to organization, organizational citizenship behavior and task performance, with certain predictable effect.4. The integration of subordinates'cognitive trust and emotional trust is a stable trust pattern. In the condition of instable trust relationship, subordinates'behavior is affected in different levels.5. it's helpful to establish a stable trust relationship between family business owners and professional managers, and promote the professional management of family business and management transition by building good relationship situation and improving healthy organization situation.From the theoretical level, this paper's potential innovation is mainly presented as follows:To prove the positive impact of subordinates'trust on employees'internal organization behavior in the view of relationship situation between family business owners and professional managers;To verify the structural relationship among organization situation, subordinates'trust and subordinates'performance.
