Study Of Regional Economic Blocks

The paper gives an abstract conception for plate of regional economy from the phenomena such as "lump economy" , "regional plate" as well as "administrative regional economy" , which have been observed in the practical process of regional economic development in China. The author thinks that plate of regional economy is one common phenomenon in the regional economic development, and believes that plate of regional economy, being in the regional economies, as the spatial hierarchy between location and region, organically constitutes the regional economies.For further deep research on the question of plate of regional economy, the author constructs the analytic frame of regional economic system in this paper and thinks that regional economic system consists of three spatial hierarchies as follows: location, plate and region. Plate of regional economy is an intermediate hierarchy and its formation and evolution play an important role in the developmental direction and competitive advantage of the regional economies. Changes of structure and function of regional economic system can manifest the self-organizing and organized laws of regional economies. The author combines the deficiency that there is an emphasis on the importance of location and region and in contrast a neglect on plate of regional economy in regional economics. The analyses lay emphasis on the forming mechanism of plate of regional economy according to theories related to economic activities' concentration and its important function in the regional economic system. Here the paper places great emphasis on the evolution of plate of regional economy, including their scientific connotation and general sense, their direction and driving mechanism. To elaborate the fundamental mode in the course of evolution, the paper borrows some ideas from the scientific connotation of geotectonic theory. The evolving modes of plate of regional economy include four kinds of function drifting, plate differentiation, plate collision and plate integration. The evolution of plate of regional economy plays an important role in the developmental direction, system's spatial structure and competitive advantage of the regional economies. The author selects the empirical evidence of regional economies development in practice in China and has carried out the positive study on the basic assumption of evolving modes of plate of regional economy.Finally, according to the theory and the practice of regional economies development in China, the author focally analyzes the problem that plate of regional economy has a bad effect on the regional economies development and finds that plate breakthrough gives a helpful enlightenment to understanding of the integration and developmental strategic choices of regional economies. Research on the plate of regional economy helps to know the general rule of developing process of regional economies. The paper can finally offer one kind of train of thought to research on endogenous growth and development of regional economies.
