As the basis of the ecological environment, geological environment is the main storage system of natural resources and also the basic human habitat site, activities space and the material carrier needed for living and production. Geological environment and human activities influent and restrict each other. The research about geological environmental conditions and its spatial distribution characters not only provide geological information support for rational land use, but also is the important basis for the compilation and implementation of land use planning and other relative planning.Land use planning is the arrangement for future land use in a certain region. It is a comprehensive technical and economic measurement the temporal and spatial land distribution and utilization based on the development of regional economy and the natural and historical characteristics of land. The aim is to obtain the best comprehensive effects on economy, ecology and society. However, by the view of current implementation of land use planning, the effects of its implementation have a great gap from the target, some even result in the ecological environment and geological disasters. This is mainly due to the lack of understanding for the vulnerability and variability of the geological environment. The previous research is almost focused on the social economy, policies, regulations and related theoretical research. The research on the relationship between geological environment conditions and land use planning is just in starting stage. Based on the view of planning practice and academic research, it is significance to analyze the geological environment of land use planning and improve the rationality of land use planning.Based on the former research, the thesis takes Dongying city locating in the Yellow River delta as an example, and deals with the data inputting and editing by RS and MAPGIS technology, including geological structure, stratum, terrain and physiognomy, hydrology geology, engineering geology. Method of GIS spatial analysis and multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation are used to analysis the engineering geological characteristics, regional stability, groundwater quality, land salinization, salt water intrusion and other natural disasters such as floods, drought and so on, based on the above analysis, the suitability zoning about agricultural land, construction land and ecological protection land are drawn out. Finally, the thesis tries to put forward the spatial distribution, combing the comprehensive evaluation and socio-economic development trend.Base on the geological environment analysis of land use planning, the following conclusions can be drawn out: (1) the introduction of geological environment analysis can improve the scientificalness on land use planning and make better decisions on agricultural land, construction land and ecological land planning; (2) the effective integration on land use planning database and geological environment database, not only change the situation of separation between geological environment planning and land use planning, but also realize the combination of the access to geological environment information, data update and dynamic adjustment on planning; (3) by analyzing the engineering geological environment characteristics and its impact on construction land, the spatial layout of construction land is brought forward, which can benefit the land intensive use and reduce the urban geological disasters; (4) the spatial layout of agricultural land is also summarized according the geological environment analysis, that not only improves the land use efficiency, but also expands the farmland use space and resource advantage; (5) finally, the ecological function zoning is given out, a new way for land ecological environment protection.
