Since the 1990s, these issues about resources and environments attract more and more attentions in the manufacturing domain. The conception of green manufacture, a modern enterprise-manufacturing mode based on the policy of environment-oriented competition, was put forward. Mechanical engineers mostly focused on the general theory or some special technologies. The conception and context of green design have been studied to some degree. But the study is by no means systematic and limited to manufacturing technologies, lacking of the systematic assessment and financial analysis, to say nothing of constructing a system-optimizing model. Therefore, from the view of a manager, the study is deployed from systematic assessment, financial analysis and project selection to seek out product design schemes with feasible technology and rational finance. As a result, some accomplishments are achieved, which are not only significant in theory but also adaptable and referable in practice. The investment in this paper is mainly fastening on the following three aspects:(1) The theory and method of systematic assessment on green design. Since it is the product design that decides the efficiency of utilizing resources and the degree of affecting environment, the manufacture, utilization and discarding of product are all related to product design schemes tightly. If the environmental factors are taken into account from the design stage, it is likely to minimize the environmental pollution and harm of the product in the whole life cycle. The goal of green design is to bring birth to green product that is friendly to environment. At this point, the systematic assessment on product design schemes is asked for thirstily to evaluate the green degree of product rationally, to improve the green technology and advance its involvement. Consequently, with the systematic analysis theory employed, such analyses and studies are carried through as product design goals, measurement indexes, assessment standards and life cycle. The three-dimension fuzzy assessment model is set up to assess the green degree of designed product in order to apprehend its advantages and disadvantages, which is benefit to seek indexes, lifecycle stage, product components requiring improvement, and eventually promote the green involvement.(2) The Financial Analysis model on green design. What are calculated by traditional manufacturing cost-benefit analysis consist of no more than sale income and production cost. Moreover, traditional discard processing only pays emphasis on material recovery to call back waste residual, leaving the environmental pollution ignored. On the basis of close-looped logistics chain with multi-lifecycle,â‘ On recurring to the conceptions of supply chain and value chain, the connotation of environmental value chain and its value relationship with outside parts are expatiated at first. And then applying activity-based cost analysis method, analyzes the cost and revenue during the whole lifecycle including design, manufacture, package, utilization, recovery and so on. With the economic consideration on...
