On The Economic Development Of Basin

Abstract: Basin is the cradle of human civilization, and basin economy is the important form for human economic germination and development. Heretofore basin region, which is industry-concentrative, economy-developed and inhabitancy-comfortable, is still the spatial ca(?)ier for the sustainable development of national and regional economy to a certain extent. China's economy upsurge is closely bound up with the exploitation and harness of Yangtze River basin, Pearl River basin and upriver along with medium-river of Yellow River. In China, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Bohai Sea Surrounding Area take the lead in modernization and economic development.Basin exploitation and basin economic development are the spatial carriers to achieve the sustainable development of national and regional economy. Achieving the sustainable development of national and regional economy require paying more attention to rationally exploiting and effectively treating basins in order to hold the course of a scientific outlook on development and maintain the "five balances" [balancing urban and rural development, development among regions, economic and social development, development of man and nature, and domestic development and opening wider to the outside world].
