There is a very intimate relationship between the Fujian province and Taiwan province. Not only are they closed to each other geographically, but the communications of their cultures and trading are closely linked to each other as well. During the "two conferences", the term of " the west coast of the channel" are formally written down in the layout of the eleventh "five-year development planning" of china, which provides a brand new political space for the economic development of these two neighboring provinces.This article follows the clue of firstly, the historical retrospect, secondly the analysis of the current situation and finally, the development of the trading co-operation. It demonstrates a full and comprehensive study on the relationship between the Fujian province and Taiwan province as business partners. It brings out an idea that it is of primary importance to alter the present unparalleled trading situation between the two provinces for the benefit of their economic achievement. From the trading nomalization to the arrangements of a more closed and various business co-operations, and finally a higher-leveled "common market" mode can come into being. To be more specific, more area co-operations can be carried out in the aspects of agriculture, finance, tourism and service industries. There is a great feasibility of setting up a series of long-termed cooperation systems in the aspects of transportation connection, financial co-operations, business negotiations, human and educational resources sharings with the terminal ambition of promoting the business communications between Fujian and Taiwan provinces, thus make a breakthrough in the economic development of both parties.
