Cognition is a relatively new concept about how people recognize things around them. In psychology, it includes both a dynamic process and a static characteristic. To some extent, the development of cognition and the acquisition of knowledge depend on the improvement of cognitive structure, which is based on people' mental perception. But sometimes the subject of cognition, the person him/herself, tends to strengthen what's already possessed and makes cognitive structure solidified or fixed. Everybody has a prototype in his/her mind, so when we encounter a problem, we tend to use that prototype simultaneously. In order to surmount a fixed prototype, we need to ensure a sustained learning process.There are a lot of differences between cognitive learning and technique learning. One of the main differences is the differential purpose. Generally speaking, technique learning emphasizes some specific technique or skill, while cognitive learning attaches great importance to the improvement of mental structure. Cognitive learning, however, is not only a psychological or mental process, but also a social action. People develop a certain kind of mental structure not only through their own introspection process but also through communicating or interacting with others.This dissertation takes Top Management Team (TMT) as an object of study. To promote the development of Multinational Corporations (MNCs), this dissertation deals with the composition, characteristics and interaction channel of TMT, taking cognitive interaction between persons and teams as the main model. Starting from three levels (node, dyad and system), I focus on the overlapping parts of team management theory, strategy theory, entrepreneur researches and cognition theory and try to reveal how to construct proper TMTs in China during the transactional period. I believe decision - making is not a rational process and it contains a lot of irrational factors, so researches on social psychology and some basic actions of TMT are necessary.
