Cognitive Style Of Entrepreneurial Team And Business Model Innovation:the Mediating Effect Of Organizational Learning

Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship present the trend of "High activity and low success rate",a group of new enterprises have achieved rapid growth with business model innovation,the reasons behind which are worthy of further analysis.In view of the importance of business model innovation to enterprise practice,the related research is developing rapidly but doesn't reach the "ideal state".Efficiency and novelty innovation are the focus of discussion at present.The theoretical results are of great significance for guiding the practice of business models.The innovation process of business model is the process of establishing sustainable competitive advantage based on value logic and the key to obtain competitive advantage is to excavate the motive mechanism of innovation mode for new enterprise.From the perspective of cognitive style about new enterprise entrepreneurship teams,the research shows that new enterprises' entrepreneurial team is an important driving force of business model innovation.Team cognitive style is one of the important innovation motivation mechanisms and organizational learning is an important way for enterprises to innovate based on team cognitive style.Based on these,this study focuses on the theme of "cognitive style of entrepreneurial team,the relationship between organizational learning and business model innovation",constructs a theoretical model by logical derivation.At last all the mechanisms is verified by empirical analysis by taking 216 data as samples.The main questions of this study are:(1)what is the relationship between entrepreneurial team cognitive style and business model innovation?(2)What is the mechanism of organizational learning in entrepreneurial team cognitive style and business model innovation?By using the methods of literature and empirical research,the main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Cognitive style of entrepreneurial team has a positive impact on business model innovation;(2)Analytical and innovative styles both have a positive impact on business model innovation;(3)Organizational learning plays an intermediary role in entrepreneurial team cognitive style and business model innovation;(4)Exploitative learning and exploratory learning play an intermediary role in entrepreneurial team cognitive style and business model innovation.The innovations of this study are as follows:(1)The research enriches the research on the antecedents of business model innovation from the perspective of the main body of business model design,combining theories of psychology and management.This study analyzes and verifies that entrepreneurial team cognitive style is an antecedent cause of business mode innovation,expanding the cognitive theory and business model innovation.(2)This paper analyzes and verifies the role of organizational learning in business model innovation from learning perspective of business model designer.This paper demonstrates the intermediary role of organizational learning in entrepreneurial team cognitive style and business model innovation which enriches business model innovation process research.The implications of this study are as follows:(1)New enterprises should strength business model innovation consciousness and choose specific suitable innovation mode.As the main body of innovation,new enterprise entrepreneurial team should choose the appropriate innovation method based on the team cognitive style in the process of business model innovation in order to improve the efficiency and effect of business model innovation.(2)New enterprises should develop organizational learning ability to acquire the knowledge needed for business model innovation.Organizational learning is a key avenue for new enterprises to innovate business model.Both exploitative learning and exploratory learning play an important role in it.The new venture should choose the correct learning method based on their team style to accumulate the knowledge needed for business model innovation and ensure the motive force of the business model innovation.
