Study On The Old People Security System In Rural China In The Transition Period

In China, social security issues about old people in countryside were not sufficiently taken into account. Their living condition is getting worse. The social endowment security scheme is being destroyed; however, the new scheme is still immature. Furthermore, China is in the course of transfer both in social system and economy style. So how to effectively insure the living condition of old people in countryside and establish a reasonable social security system for them is a very important topic both for academic and government.Based on research at hand and using economic analysis method of historic materialism and theory of west economy into China old-aged security system in countryside, the thesis focus on the evolutional motivation and restriction mechanism of the system and come up with a reasonable system model and feasible route for system revolution. The main research content and result are as follows:(1)Literature review: In this part, we made a throughout investigation about the theories and cases in the field of old people security system. Firstly, we analyzed many currently developed theories including Marxism social security system, international economy exchange theory, nation intervening theory, welfare economy, Swedish scholar, social marketing theory, public economy, family security theory, and etc. Secondly, we made a clear description and definition for the social security. Thirdly, we investigated the social security systems in other countries worldwide, and especially focus on that of Australia, Germany, Japan and Chile. By investigating, we got three main points:â‘ s ocial endowment security system is in accordance with the national economy scheme.â‘¡the system is restricted by many factors and the economy is the most important thing.â‘¢the security level must be fit with the economy level.(2)Historic and current condition investigating about the social endowment security system in countryside: From the historic aspect, we found government played the most important role in the development of social security system transfer. The other factors included economy, politics and culture, and to what extent the farmers are taking part in. By investigating, we found the traditional system is being destroyed, however, the new system is immature without theory and policy support. It already affected the development of economy and social improvement.
