As mainstream production in future, MC (Mass Customization) is unable to achieve the effective management goal, if it continues to use the traditional operation management theory. To meet with requirement of management practice for the new management system, and to make up for the lack of the correlated management fundamental research in MC, the paper based on predecessor practice and research results puts forward the operation management system of MC on the chain management, and makes search on several key questions, The main content of the paper is as follows:First, the author introduces principle of chain management. The author comprehensively puts forward the meaning and characteristics of MC, she systematically analyses the characteristics of production and the development characteristics of correlated management theory under new economic condition. Then based on them, the author summarizes request to management innovation. The author comprehensively analyses supply chain management theory, the value chain management theory, activity -based costing, lean production and the coincidence relations of MC. Then, the author introduces principles of chain management, defines its concept, sums up its characteristics, makes it clear to improve the value of the chain, concludes its five manage principles and four manage functions, and discriminates its mechanism of action and strategic concepts.Second, the author makes a survey about the three basic subjects about operation system management. The author constructs the quality chain, cost chain and time chain of MC management system, which is based on chain management. In the author's opinion, the aim of quality chain management is to improve its value. Then she introduces function, cost and calculations of value about quality in new system. At the same time, she introduces the whole process of how to realize quality chain management. The author constructs the cost chain of MC management system based on chain management, discusses the relationbetween ABC and MC, defines the cost value, concludes the system on how to distinguish bottlenecks and improve the cost value. The author constructs the time chain of MC management system based on chain management, discusses the demand on time chain of MC management, introduces the method for calculating time value, introduces decision model of product mixing, and discusses the methods of improving ability on quick response.Third, on the basis of chain management, the author introduces the correlated problems of implementing in operation management system of MC. The author lists methods of systematic classification on MC, introduces the decision problems about customize degree of product, customize type, layout, delay, modularity, out-sourcing and the selection on organization, and concludes the DEA appraise model in performance based on BSC.At last, the author carries out the related study on the issue on how enterprise realizes MC. She summarizes the implement condition of MC, the occasion choosing and gradual progress route on moving toward MC. The author discusses the measures on how to realize MC on information construction, element task construction, train on quick staff, and construction of logistics system and environmental construction of the policy.
