As a tool of protecting the national interests, fighting economic crime, arresting corruption and the serious penal offense, assuring the stability of finance, anti-money laundering has been admitted by countries. China has strengthened since the 1990s. Under this background, scholars began to study, mostly to analyze from the law. But it is essentially an economic phenomenon, this text tries to analyze in aspects of economics against several important theoretical questions of anti-money laundering. This text tries to set up a theoretical analyze system—"the economics essence of anti-money laundering—cost and benefit — the institutional choice", in which money launderer, the bank, and the government supervisor are considered jointly, especially focusing on analyzing the model of anti-money laundering of banking. The game is dynamic game that is repeat incomplete information. There are two aspects, one is the game between bank and launderer, the other is the game between bank and government supervisor. By game theory, it is proved that government entering is necessary, with participators reducing cost and increasing benefit to game. There are two obvious questions, one is difference between participators' and social cost-benefit, the other is asymmetry information in anti-money laundering. The information report system is proved to be necessary. Also, after comparing the private and public cost-benefit of money laundering, the effect of external is revealed.Modern economics research methods such as cost-benefit analysis, game theory, intergrowth theory, external theory, broken-window theory etc, are used to analyze the anti-money laundering. The results indicate, only when the government enters against the anti-money laundering, sets up the incentive system and abundant information disclosure, and reduces the cost with increasing launderers1 cost, can it structure a good economic and legal environment and reduce laundering.
