Research On The Operation Mechanism And Performance Of Generic Technology Platform For Equipment Manufactuing Industry

Equipment manufacturing industry is very important for a country. The sustainabledevelopment of China's equipment manufacturing industry is delayed by backward ingeneric technology. As an important organizational form of the supply of generictechnology, The generic technology platform that the integration of the government,enterprises, universities, research institutions and other organizations' resource, canproviding innovation and diffusion services of generic technology. At present theconstruction and operation theoretical system of generic technology platform is not perfect,it is urgent to create the platform's evaluation system of knowledge services performance.In this paper, the literature is analyzed and commented. By using the systems analysis,comparative analysis, survey research method and empirical research method, the authorfocuses on operating mechanism and performance evaluation of generic technologyplatform for the equipment manufacturing industry. The research content is as thefollowing.Firstly, the relationship between generic technology supply and sustainabledevelopment of China's equipment manufacturing industry was revealed by analyzing thetechnical level of China's equipment manufacturing industry and generic technologiessupply. The principles and methods for the selction of equipment manufacturingtechnology were proposed. At the same time, this paper analyzes types of equipmentmanufacturing industry's genric technology and its knowledge characteristics.Secondly, from the view of organization theory, this paper summaries theorganization system of generic technologies supply of equipment manufacturing andstudies the position of generic technology platform in this organizationsystem. And then,the organizational structure of the generic technology platform functions and managementstructure was deeply researched. As the core of generic technology platform' operatingsystem analysis framework, the mechanism of resource supply, knowledge servicemechanism and governance of generic technology platform was build, and the operationprinciples was illuminated. Thirdly, this paper systematically describes the elements of the generic technologyplatform in equipment manufacturing industry. The main resource suppliers of the generictechnology platform and their roles in life cycle of platform were analyzed. It is alsodiscussed that the differences of networking supply mode of generic technology platformin each stage of platform's life cycle. All kinds of resources supply mechanisms of generictechnology platform were studied.Fourthly, from the perspective of knowledge services, generic technical services of inequipment manufacturing was studied. The knowledge service model of generictechnology platform for the equipment manufacturing industry was build. Themanagement of knowledge base, knowledge acquisition mechanism, knowledgemanagement mechanisms, and knowledge diffusion mechanisms in the process ofproviding knowledge service in generic technology platform was systematically analyzed.Fifthly, the network governance organization theory was sorted out. Three typesgeneric technology platform in equipment manufacturing industry, bureaucraticmanagement, relationship management and contract management were discussed in detail.A deep research on three of the governance mechanism of the specific management wasgiven and the management mode of generic technology platform was extracted.At last, this paper designs the index system of performance evaluation of generictechnology platform knowledge service in equipment manufacturing industry, and theaffecting factors model of the performance generic technology platform knowledgeservice is also established. Taken the equipment manufacturing industry in Shanghaigeneric technology platform as an example, by collecting data, using regression analysismethod and the SPSS15.0software, this paper makes an empirical research to test themodel. The empirical results show that: Firstly, the knowledge service of generictechnology platform performance worse, if the generic technology's tacit and complex isstrong; secondly, the knowledge service of generic technology platform performancebetter, if the stock of technical knowledge of generic technology platform more; thirdly,the knowledge service of generic technology platform performance better, if theconfidence of the participants in platform is higher; fourthly, the knowledge service ofgeneric technology platform performance worse, if the distance of knowledge and relationship of parties involved is bigger; fifthly, the relationship among generictechnology tacit, platform organization performance and social performance wasregulated by governance mechanism negatively; at last, the relationship among complexityof generic technology, performance of platform organization and social performance wasregulated by governance mechanism negatively.
