China has made the development of a innovation-oriented nation as China's development strategy and is experiencing the pressure for industry restructure and update, which call for large volume of investment in the technical innovation. Consequently, new requirements have been set for technical professionals as the mainstay of technical innovation. Efficient technical innovation requires that the innovation capacity and initiatives of the technical professionals be enhanced. The technical professionals'remuneration fair perception has direct impact on their innovation initiatives and performance. Therefore, it is of practical significance to study the technical professionals'remuneration fair perception impacting mechanism.This study first lays a theoretical framework for the study by examining relevant studies at home and abroad by means of literature review. Based on the framework, it proposes a theoretical model and research hypothesis for the research of factors impacting the remuneration fair perception in reference to the characteristics of Chinese technical professionals. Questionnaire is used for the investigation and the results are analyzed by means of statistical analysis and structure equation model using SPSS15.0 and AMOS 7.0 to test the hypothesis and, modify the theoretical model and draw conclusions. Finally, proposals are made in terms of policies and research prospects.The following results and conclusions are drawn through theoretical and empirical studies: First, the work values, remuneration system perception and remuneration fair perception of technical professionals are basically positive. Secondly, differences exist in the work values, remuneration system perception and remuneration fair perception of technical professionals. Thirdly, the work values, remuneration system perception and remuneration fair perception of technical professionals are related to and influence each other. Fourthly, the work values and remuneration system perception are predictive of the remuneration fair perception. Finally, the structure equation models of the work values, remuneration system perception and remuneration fair perception are well matched. The work values are of direct effect on the remuneration fair perception and the remuneration system perception has an indirect impact on the remuneration fair perception. Both the work values and the remuneration system perception of technical professionals have positively correlated to the remuneration fair perception.The innovative values of this study include: First, it is the first empirical study of the remuneration fair perception of technical professionals as a group. Secondly, a variation analysis is made on the work values, remuneration system perception and remuneration fair perception of technical professionals. Thirdly, the remuneration system perception is introduced into the relationship between the work values and remuneration fair perception of the technical professionals, which effectively reveals the impacts of various factors on the remuneration fair perception of the technical professionals. Finally, a model of technical professionals'remuneration fair perception impacting mechanism is established.
