| Employment should be paid close attention to in China the Socialist populous country as to as this country's further development. On one hand, accelerating transformation of the mode of economic development and achieving rapid and sound development of economy make necessary job enlargenment. On the other hand,more and more countries are intending achieving full employment to be the prime policy target. While 30-year sustainable economic growth rooting in Chinese economic reform has brought about a large scale of employment opportunities, China has ensured the downtrend of elasticity of employment of economic growth since 1990s.China's employment presasure is boosting, either from international competition pressure aggravation of made-in-China products,economic restructuring's speeding up, furtherance of opening-up, general market risk enhancing, or from new labor's racking up, insufficiency of human resource development, increasing requirements of workers.Obviously,imbalance of labor demand and labor supply is so extruding that employment pressure is intensifying.So,China must choose a new development road to tolerate job enlargement. The questions are, what at all determining employment ,and what at all helping expand employment.this ph. degree thesis trys to answer them.In Keynes'the General Theory of Employment,Interest and Money,employment function is found that employment is only determined by effective demand.But, Keynes'employment function based on short-run analysis has two faults.One is that it has not decomposed effective demand into output ,capital labour radio and output fluctuation to separately explain their employment effects.The other is that it hasn't taken into account such other factors as supply side of labor market and open condition.So,this ph. degree thesis is to develop Keynes'employment function by adding other independent variables.A new employment function China's Eployment Function based on long-run analysis is then derived that would be used to expain employment's sources and find out how to relieve China's employment pressure.Research details are organized as followed:First, the thesis mathematically derive China's Eployment Function based on Keynes'employment function. China's Eployment Function has six independent variables:output, capital labour radio, output fluctuation,stock of human capital,labor market segmentation and external employment.The six independent variables are equivalent to six employment source departments:economic output,economic structure,economic fluctuation,labor supply,labor market and economic globalization.The six departments embody their own subfactors and sub-subfactors. All these factors related with employment can be described into a dendrogram Employment Tree.Then,the thesis analysize employment effects of some important variables in Employment Tree,that help understand China's Eployment Function's internal relationship and its existence reliability.Next, multiple regression analysis of China's Eployment Function is operated by the group of panel data since 1990.The result mostly explains China's employment situation and preferably coincides China's actual situation.After the positive analysis, China's Eployment Function's applicability also gets confirmed.It is believed that China's Eployment Function never conflicts with existing macroeconomics analytical system and Eployment could be a possible substitute of the core variable of macroeconomics.Lastly, based on China's Eployment Function,the thesis formulates a policy basket that helps put China's job enlargenment strategy into practice.The China's Eployment Policy Package comprises: promoting economic growth, readjusting economic structure, maintaining economic stability, cultivating human capital, increasing labor maket's efficiency, encouraging abroad employment.Research findings lie in: China's Eployment Function, employment effect of Employment Tree, China's Eployment Policy Package. |
