Most contents of Heyan's Lun-yu-ji-jie including the Prace were kept in the manuscripts found in Turpan. In the Prace, Heyan expressed his viewpoints about such questions as the name of Lun-yu,the author of Lun-yu, compiling Lun-yu and etc.It is a pity that the Preface was so brief that we can not get more informations about these questions. The questions are so important in the history of studies on Lun-yu that we shall continue to talk about them in the paper. The manuscripts of Lun-yu found in Dunhuang and Turpan and the handwritten copy of bamboo-slip Lun-yu found in Dingxian can help us to resolve some difficulties existing in the past and can help us to understand the text of Lun-yu exactly. Various versions of the text found in the unearthed documents can provide us with more informations about the different types of Lun-yu in the history and the characteristics of the classical Chinese.
