The grid is the next generation of Internet, while the semantic WEB represents the future of the WEB. As a combination, the semantic grid aims providing a large scale and flexible cooperative environment, processing the information and knowledge of shared resource and enabling intelligent machine and human beings to utilize the shared resources more efficiently.But as the architecture and technologies for the grid and semantic web are still in a rapid developing stage, the semantic grid is in its initial age. Based on the study of the authors, the main content of this dissertation is as follows:1,A method based on OWL of W3C is proposed to describe the semantic information for grid service interface, which includes atomic and composite service, to enable better service discovery and invocation. And a new mechanism is provided to store the data of OWL in relational database, the hierarchy structures of classes and properties defined in the OWL are also kept through views of the database system.2,Proposed a new method of using Finite State Machine (FSM) and execution tag tree to describe the excution logic of existing grid service and the goal service specified by users, using Deterministic Propositional Dynamic Logic and FSM to determine the composable of goal service and make the composition plan. The computation complex is also discussed3,Designed some algorithms to compose existing grid services according to user requirement. Using activity diagram and XML to describe the requirement and sub-requirement of users, algorithems can be used to compare and compose existing grid services to satisfy user requirements.4,Implemented a method of using grid service to encapusalte the access of sensor networks and smart devices. Through encapusaltion the access of sensor networks and snart devices access as a set of core services and with the help of some auxiliary services in the grid, the development and deployment of the sensor networks application can be greatly simplified. 5,In the grid system with multiple sensor networks and multiple applications, a subscribe/publish/notification framework is suggested and implemented for the efficient transfer of messages from the sensor network to the applications. Not only can the tight relation of sensor network and applications be decoupled, but also the heavey burdens of the network communication and application are relieved.6,Extended the distributed subscribe/notification framework to support the mobile client. Proposed a message delivery relocation algorithm and the delivery of Fetch and Replay messages to achieve the complete and correct timer order of notification delivery for the mobile client. Under this framework, mobile clients can roam among different connection nodes transparently.
