There is no doubt that Industry Investment Opportunity Research is significant for Investment Strategy. Promod Haque, one of the elite Venture Risk investors in the world, who is the Executive Partner of the top American Venture Investment Corporation, once pointed out that you must have a solid understanding of the industry, including the technology if you want to be an excellent Venture Investor.Then, what contents should be included in Industry Investment Opportunity Research? In my opinion, the main contents are as follows: a) the problem of Investment Possibility; b) the problem of Market. Capacity; c) the problem of the Growth of the Industry; d) proper grasp of Risk Distribution and Control; e) Rational Assessment of the Inner Value of the Enterprise.This dissertation mainly centers on the profound and systematic research on the following problems such as Policy Environment of China' s Media Industry Investment, Media Market Capacity and Development, Media Enterprise Value Assessment, Investment Practice of Media Industry, the Risk Distribution and Control of Media Industry Investment. Meanwhile, as the basic preparation for understanding the industry, I also do some research on the Media Industry Chain and the Economic Features of the Media Industry.This dissertation has the following innovative research perspectives:First, it puts forward the basic frame of Media Industry Investment Opportunity Research, and does systematic research and discussion on the related problems within the frame.Second, it advances that there are five factors in the Media Industry Investment as follows: 1. the Operation of the Media Content. 2) the Media Channel Net Operation. 3) the Operation of Advertisements in all kinds of Media. 4) Necessary services for Media Industry Chain, including technology service, audience investigation and management counseling. 5) the Capital Operation of the Media Industry.Third, it analyzes the general Market Capacity of our Media Industry through qualitative analysis and document study in the course of research on the Media Industry Market Capacity and Development. Later, it does quantitative research on the Media Market Capacity and Development prospects by choosing three indexes such as Advertisement Operating Amount, Gross Domestic Production (GDP) and the Retail Total Sum of the consumer goods. Thus, it finds out the relationship between theadvertisement operating sum of Media Industry and GDP, the Total Retail Sum of the consumer goods.Fourth, it systematically analyzes the features of the Media Industry as the Attention Economy and puts forwards that we must fully take the particularity of the Media Economy as the Attention Economy into consideration in order to assess the value of the Media Enterprises. Based on this, I propose a way of the value assessment of the Media Enterprises.Fifth, it analyzes the Risk Distribution of the Media Industry Investment in recent days and the ways of Risk Control.Sixth, on the foundation of the theory research, it chooses the Media Listed Corporations in the Chinese Mainland Stock Market and the American Stock Market as samples, then does practical research on the investment practice of the Media Industry from the two aspects of 'Venture Investment' and 'Merging Investment' .
