With the growing applications in radar,sonar and communication, target detection, localization and imaging based on bistatic and multistatic model become very important in signal processing. Many attentions have been paid on them in recent years. So, the parameter estimate method based on bistatic and multistatic model has very important theory and application value in engineering. From this point, the paper give some researches on the direction of arrival(DOA) and frequency estimate of the bistatic and multistatic array signal. The content of the paper can be summarized as follows:1. The bistatic and multistatic parameter estimation model is set up. The coherence condition for different received signals which come from different static is derived. When signal sources lies in the normal from the center of baseline, the relatively delay is zero and the coherent of receiving signal for different static is the strongest. While signal sources situated at the end of the baseline, the coherent is the worst. But, if the value of relatively delay are less than the reciprocal of signal bandwith, the coherent is existed in the receiving signal of different static. Moreover, two kinds of algorithms are proposed based on bistatic and multistatic model, which can be used in distributed and concentrated system.2. In order to improve the performance of the distributed algorithm based on bistatic and multistatic model, the two propagator algorithms are presented in this chapter. The first is MPM(Modified Propagator Method).The method can improve the estimate performance of the DOA at the limited snapshot numbers. But it needs the searching operation. The second algorithm is Genealized Propagator Method. The rotation factor is constructed by rearranged the conjugation data, then the direction is estimated by using the propagator algorithm. The method has the advantages of the conjugation propagator algorithm and conjugation ESPRIT algorithm, but overcome the defects of them. Moreover, it can obtain the closed solution of the target direction. The simulation results show that the algorithm can obviously improve the performances of the signal DOA estimation when the snapshot numbers are limited.
