The embedded system plays an important role in modern electro-mechanical monitoring and control. It is the technology fundament of intellectual sensors, advanced monitoring and control devices, and network-and-information-based control technology. To a considerable extent, the overall performance and popularity of electro-mechanical monitoring and control systems depends on the quality and popularity of the embedded system employed. This dissertation research, which is part of national research and development projects, focuses on the application of the embedded system in electro-mechanical monitoring and control technology. It is guided by the research philosophy of "Study related theories, strive for critical technological breakthroughs, and realize engineering applications". Building upon the analysis, research and synthesis of related basic theories, we have investigated some critical technological problems and completed three typical engineering application projects. A summary of the specific aspects of the dissertation research is as follows:1. Focusing on the application of the embedded system in electro-mechanical monitoring and control, we have analyzed and studied modern electro-mechanical monitoring and control networks, monitoring and control systems in such networks, the use of the embedded system, and the approaches to the Hardware-Software Co-Design of the embedded systems. We have summarized and synthesized the related theories, providing a theoretical basis for further application of the embedded system in electro-mechanical monitoring and control.2. To meet the requirement of high performance demodulation in fiber grating sensor applications, we have proposed an original method on applying the embedded system technology to solve the problem of High Speed Demodulation of Multi-channel and Multi-node Fiber Grating Signals (HSDMMFGS), and designed a framework of the embedded system for such application. By researching the principles and the critical techniques of HSDMMFGS, a series of problems are addressed and solved for the realization of the system, including high speed signal detection, real-time data processing and transmission, self-adaptation for multi-speed demodulation, auto-track to scanning voltage, synchronization of time measuring, and system hardware and software design. Based on these achievements, we have designed and realized a distributed HSDMMFGS system.3. To address the design of the embedded control system, we have introduced the quasi-PLC concept, studied quasi-PLC system frameworks, technical structures and their applications, as well as compatibility between quasi-PLC and existing industrial standards and how to auto-make the control program. We have designed and...
