Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technologies become research hotspot now and are known as the most promising physical technologies for B3G/4G broadband wireless mobile communication systems. This dissertation firstly researches the most fundamental theory and the most general method of wireless communication, and then the research work of channel estimation, synchronization, interference cancellation and resource allocation in MIMO-OFDM system are given in detail. The major achievement are outlined as follows:1. We analyze the most fundamental theory of wireless communication and conclude that in the resource-limited system, any technology and algorithm is both relative, and its merit and shortcoming is a pair of contradiction. So, we should treat these technologies and algorithms in relative and contradistinctive sight.
