Ultra Wide Bandwidth (UWB) technology is a two-edged sword, some advantages, such as non-carrier, small scale, low cost and low power consumption, are attracted to experts. On the other hand, the disadvantages are that the character of ultra wide bandwidth inevitably results in interfering on the other wireless communication systems, and not implementing a long-distance, large-area communication system. The main task in this thesis is how to construct and analyze a long-distance, large-area UWB system, and how to investigate some related key techniques.UWB technology and radio-on-fiber (ROF) technology are studied in depth, and some key techniques are investigated, as well as UWB-ROF system model, the main constribution of this thesis includes:First, the UWB-ROF system model is studied in depth, two optical-communications-based models are presented, analogue model and digital model. Theoretical analysis and computer simulations demonstrate the performance and feasibility of these two systems.Second, based on the deep study on time-hopping sequences (TH), using statistics to analyze the effect of time-hopping sequences on system...
