E-Commerce is the notion for the various activities of electric commerce performed by individuals or companies through computers and remote network. It developed very fast in the past 10 years. In the Web sites used for E-Commerce, text and 2D images are used widely for presenting products. The limitation for such presentation is that the effect has some difference to the real objects. Thus it will affect the decision-making of the consumers in E-Commerce. In this PhD dissertation, we will study the integratiuon of virtual product presentation platform to E-Commerce.The fast development and great success of E-Commerce is based on the strong support of E-Commerce platform. Therefore, we have an overview of the E-Commerce platform, including E-Commerce model, electric trading model, paying system on Internet et al. We also discuss the E-Commerce framework integrating virtual product presentation. During the electric trading, the customers can view the product interactively, and the transaction is visible.In the study of virtual product presentation for E-Commerce, we focus on the geometric model based product presentation and image-based product presentation. Geometric mode-based product presentation can provide multiple view of the product, and it is easy for the users to interact with it, while the model construction is time-consuming. Image-based method can only provide one view, but it only need one or several images. In geometric model-based product presentation, we design and implement an interactive virtual presentation system for home-used furniture on Internet. In image-based product presentation, we design a new texture mapping and color mixing method for textile products. This method is simple and practical, can generate realistic texture-mapped images.The paper discusses the techniques on how to combine E-Commerce and virtual product presentation, introducing the detailed techniques on importing the stand-alone virtual product presentation system onto network platform. Components queue based structure, action stack queue based structure and Dispatch Server based balanced structure are implemented, and the features of these three mechanisms are compared based on experimental results. Compared to the two other methods, the DS-based balancing structure method can support load balance, have more stability, but with complex implementation.Security problem is a key problem in E-Commerce, it contains two aspects: one is the security of electric trading; the other aspect is the copyright protection of the visual model of products in E-Commerce. In the thesis, we present a safe on-line transaction model exploiting the information hiding and digital watermarking, the transaction data embedded with identification watermarking is transmitted as ordinary multimedia data. The model can satisfy the requirement of secure transaction, such as safety, no-deny, credibility, confidence. The watermarking technique is also used to protect the copyright of image or textures (ex. flow patterns or design model) appeared in E-Commence. In addition, the paper presents a new blind watermarking algorithm with robustness. The algorithm can withstand the attacks such as Gauss white noise, re-sampling, motion smoothing and re-arrangement.
