As a broad band access technology,digital subscribe line technology makes full use of the gigantic existing twisted-pair copper cable network,which protects the enormous investment,prolongs its life-span,postpones laying still expensive optical fiber and utmostly meets the band demand of broad band of Internet data services. Internal and external researchers show great attention on DSL technique and have an extensive research on it,for DSL technology's large latent market. The research and development of DSL competition oversea is intense. At present,the standard prescribes its performance,characteristic and other request,and its key technique keep secret to us,so it is necessary and pressing to carry out our research and development independently.At present,DSL transceiver design use the method of multi-chip integration,which makes the cost high and makes DSL hard to popularize in large scale. With the rapid development of Deep Sub Micrometer manufacture and design,integrated circuit design has entered into system on a chip design era. There is no one system on a chip which we own Intellectual Property in our country. It is necessary to master the system on a chip design method and its key technology by designing DSL system on a chip transceiver.In this dissertation,I make a systemic research on time domain equalization algorithm which is the key technology of DSL,and design ADSL transceiver system on a chip. The research work and its conclusionhave referenced and directive meaning to DSL time domain equalizer and ADSL transceiver system on a chip design.To sum up,the main research work and its characteristic in this dissertation includes as follow:Firstly,introduce the research background,point out the aim and actual meaning of the research,summarize the research status and development trend of time domain equalization algorithms and system on a chip design international and oversea.Secondly,introduce discrete multi-tone modulation principle in detail,have a systemic and comprehensive analysis and explanation on minimum mean square error (MMSE) channel shorten time domain equalizer design methods which are based on all kinds of cost functions,analyze their advantage and disadvantage .research on time domain equalizer structure,compare all the time domain equalization algorithm with simulation which afford a valuable reference for the choice of equalization algorithm and equalizer structure when design time domain equalizer.Thirdly,equalization technique is always an important study task which is close relation to the whole communication system,the criterion that whether the equalizer is good or not is not high complexity and definite performance. Therefore,a new low-complexity MMSE time domain equalization algorithm is proposed which focuses on lowing the complexity of time domain equalizer and optimizing performance. The proposed algorithm lows the complexity by choosing decision delay in advance and then making solution of the equalizer tap coefficient,a new decision delay choice method is proposed,solution by using weight method,diagonal matrix transform,Z extension and a new energy restrictive condition which restrains noise enhance,a new decision delay choice method is proposed,the simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm has better equalization effect and enhanced performance comparing to the general MMSE algorithm,simulation research on the precision and dynamic scope of parameters in digital realization time domain equalization algorithm,design software and hardware of time domain equalizer.Fourthly,there exist a lot of interfere in DSL line,especially,DSL works in multi-user mode,the near end interference is serious. In this case,time domain equalization algorithm based on channel estimation will influence equalization effect if choosing noise sensitive algorithm to estimate channel,so it is necessary to adopt an anti-noise and high estimation precision estimation algorithm.
