Combined with the key project of the preliminary research of National Defence Science and Technology,the target Recognition System for Millimeter wave initiative homing guidance ,A systematic study on the signal processing method based on the background of millimeter mave(MMW) missle-borne pulsed doppler radar is performed.it include specifically the detction and the recognition of the moving target and hovering helicopter under strong clutter background.In the introduction,the status and role of radar automatic target recognition in local war under conditions of future advanced technique are clarified ,then the past,the actuality ,the trend and the main tecnique approachs of the detection and target recognition in automatic target recognition are particularly summarized. At last,Combining the characteristics of the missle-borne high-PRF pulsed Doppler radar,This paper analyzed the difficulties and the possible technique approach in detecting and recogniting moving target using missle-borne high-PRF pulsed Doppler radar.In chapter 2,This paper analyzed the performance and the restrictions of detecting accelerating target using traditional FFT method at first,and then discussed the relationship of the target,best number,the worst number and the normalized acceleration . Aiming at the restrictions of FFT methods,this paper put forward a transform naming changing scale discrete chirp-fourier transform and applied it to detecting accelaration target using missle-borne high-PRF pulsed Doppler radar,at last this paper put forward a new sequential detection method.In the third part of this paper,Aiming at the different characteristic of theextended target spectrum ,this paper discussed the detecting and precised measuring the extended spectrum of the target. At last,this paper analyzed the influence of the inversive receiver to the chracteristic of the clutter and the ratio of signal power and the noise power ,discussed the effective detection of target signal in correlated clutter,and then put forward a new method naming multi-periods shift accumulation for detecting moving target when not knowing the exact movement parameter.In chapter 3,this paper recommended the methods of estimating the parameter of moving target using cyclostationary and analyzed the performance of this method firstly,and put forward a recursive method for estimating the parameter(velocity,acceleration) of moving target combining the characteristic of high-PRF pulsed Doppler radar. Then,based on the resolution of Doppler and acceleration ,combining the characteristic of the Doppler spectrun and acceleration spectrum ,this paper put forward a new method for differentiating muli-target . At last,This paper put forward a recognition method using the parameter of moving target the missle-borne pulsed Doppler radar can be achived and the HMM and the analized the limited performance of the method under different circumstance.In chaper 4,this paper analized the temporal chracreristic and spectral chracterisc of hovering helicopter,and then analized the possible methods for detection hovering helicopter and the message that can be achived. then combining the idea of likelihood ratio detection and The Template matching method,this paper put forward a matching detection method for detecting hovering helicopter using missle-borne pulsed Doppler radar. In the third part of this paper,the author analized the effect of multipath to the detection using radar,and put forward a modified M N detection structure to the detection of hovering helicopter under multipath circumstance. At last,Pointing to the temporal characteristics and the spectral characteristics,this paper discussed the methods for estimating the maximal line velocity(vmax) and the glint periods( Tp )of the hovering helicopter,and then fulfilled the recognition of hoveringhelicopter using these two message.In chapter 5,the summary of all the works in the paper and related conlusions are presented,and the defects are analized at last,at last this paper demonstrated the d...
