With the developments of mobile cellular communication, cordless telephone and mobile satellite communication, the beautiful Human ideal Personal Communication, which is whoever is able to communicate with whoever else by whatever whenever and wherever in the world, is becoming into the realty. Since the I 990s, the kind of Personal Communication System is paid close attention by the researchers from the field of the communication in the world. Because it is a huge and complex system, many key techniques need to be deeply researched. Thus, the dissertation chiefly deals with the location information and multiplex access technology, especially with the novel SDMA (space division multiplex access) technology applied to the rural. First of all, the introduction introduces the personal communication concept and recent situation, presents the principles of the location register and accurate location information, and gives the important meaning for researching the SDMA system. The chief works and achievements about the dissertation are briefly presented in the end of this introduction. Then, the location information and multiplex access technology are classified into two parts for researching in the text. The first part is consist of Chapter 1. Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. Chapter 1 firstly introduces the both global position system (GPS) and Chinese constructing dual-star position system. which are able to give the accurate location information. Then. the concept. which the kind of the accurate location information could be applied to the location register of the personal communication, is proposed. From it, some advantages could be obtained. Chapter 2 analyzes the compatibility of the GPS receiver and mobile portable receiver. Although the accurate location information is good, anybody could not bring the both with oneself at the same time. Thus. the chapter introduces their principles. makes the comparisons about the same and unsame parts of the two receivers and presents the compatibility for the both in the hardware and software. Chapter 3 detailly analyzes the hierarchical structure of intelligent network about the location register, and obtains the advantages and faults about that location registration strategy. Thus, according to the general behavior of the ones to make a call, a concept of the a priori known location information is proposed for the first time. By using this information, a kind of intelligent connection strategy can be attained. Therefore, the caller can always get a connection with the called in the shortest path. the least inquiring time and the lowest cost. Usually, the total cost can be reduced as 15%; the network load can be reduced as 10% 40%. The second part is from Chapter 4 to Chapter 7. Chapter 4 analyzes the various kinds of the multiplex access modes, which include FDMA (Frequency Division Multiplex Access), TDMA (Time Division Multiplex Access), CDMA (Code Division Multiplex Access) and SDMA (Space Division Multiplex Access). By the comparison of the two digital mobile systems, TDMA and CDMA, the conclusion is obtained, which CDMA is excellent over TDMA in the future mobile cellular communication. It has a much important meaning for such countries as China to determine the future mobile communication structure. When the personal communication character and the investigating result from the first part are considered, CDMA is more excellent than TDMA. Moreover, the personal communication is not the communication for somebody, it should include the wide...
