Body-centric wireless communication system play a key role in the development of next generation mobile communications and is the key to the realization of ubiquitous computing society, which realizes the data communication between the inside and outside of human body and the short distance communication between the human body and mobile terminals. Compared with traditional wireless communication, body-centric wireless communication system realizes high security and privacy at lower energy consumption and lower harm to the human body, and the communication efficiency will not decrease when large amounts of people communicate at the same time.In this thesis, we first investigate the characteristics of human body communication channel. A single human body communication system is developed based on the multiple layers biological tissues of the real human body. In our method, the high-frequency electromagnetic wave is directly coupled to human body, which is treated as waveguide. CST Microwave Studio is used to simulate the body channel characteristics from the aspect of interaction between electromagnetic field and human body. We also discussed the effect of the structure and dimension of the transceiver to the communication efficiency. The human body communication mechanism is further explored. Based on the research of single human body communication system, a by-touch two hand communication system is established to investigate the human body communication between two people. Secondly, due to the extraordinary performance of the RedTacton from NTT company on wireless human body communication which exploits the electro-optic detection technique, the basic quadratic electro-optic (EO) properties of Pb(Mgi/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) transparent ceramics are studied under both DC and AC electric field bias and piezoelectric resonance is found in this electro-optic material. The experimental results shows that the electro-optic detecting ability of PMN-PT is eminent, which makes it an excellent candidate for electro-optic detection medium in wireless human body communication. Finally, a new enclosed dielectric resonator antenna for wireless human body communication is proposed. The antenna radiation is suppressed and the energy coupling efficiency between antenna and human body channel is improved, which ensure higher security, privacy and also the energy efficiency. Due to the diversity of human body channel, tunable dielectric resonator antenna is also proposed.
