Nowadays one-sided understanding is to view the positive education equivalently as the truth, the good and the estheticism education. According to this principle the educator excludes so actively the false, the evil and the ugly in the educational field, and avoid and ignore it negatively, especially overlook social negative effect towards the students development, which results in numerous difficulties in educational practice. Firstly, students have no dynamic to develop because the education of the truth, the good and the aesthetics falls into indoctrination, which naturally cause the passive resistance of students. Secondly, the students are confused and can not to tell right from wrong, which means that juvenile crime rates continue to climb, and children are curious to bad morality and even imitating villain. Finally, facing to those negative matters, students lack the ability to distinguish, rationally resist and self-protect them.The reason why educators comprehend the one-sided positive principles of education involves mainly that they make one-sided comprehension of the aims of education, the psychological development of students, the dialectical relationship between the positive side and the negative one.From the perspective of the education purposes, it requires that educators should help students to correct understanding of two sides of matter, improve students'ability to identify the differences between the sublime and the evil, and then the capacity of pursuit the sublime. However, current education is merely called for helping students develop awareness of the truth, the good and the aesthesis, while neglect to guide students to understand the false, the evil and the ugly. Meanwhile it focus on passively receiving positive side, neglecting of students to pursue sublime ability.From the perspective of the student's psychological development, studies shows that, first of all, the students have definitely cognitive abilities and a certain amount of subjective initiative in the development process though the mental development of students owns the limited capacity of abstract thinking. Then, they can come to understand the truth, the good and the aesthetic through concrete thinking and its inconsistency with the false, the evil and the ugly, where education can promote the student's psychological levels. Above all, there is actually some phenomenon we should prevent from. Educators ignore the initiative of students, such as only seeing and exaggerating the negative effects of negative side of matter; educator put one-sided emphasis on education to adapt physical and mental development of students, while neglect of its contribution; the contradiction between the demand of education and psychological developing level of students, which is taken as the drive of development, is wrongly treated as the paradox between the positive and the negative; the purpose of education and the natural development of students are regards as being against each other.From the perspective of dialectical relationships between the positive and the negative, Generally speaking, both of them exist dialectically, which means they are opposites, interdependence, but regenerate each other. However, educators can only see contradiction, while neglecting the agreement of them. They consider that both of them could be separated in the situation that the sublime will not have a negative impact, and the negative side has merely a negative impact except the active role. Therefore, education as being pure or ideal ignores the presence of negative side of matter, abandoning its positive and valuable aspect.This paper argues that the principles of positive education is an independent educational principle, so we should be based on the aims of education and educational activities target - the characteristics of students and the educational content and the inherent understanding of the laws of the principle of positive education. Here "positive" is the key word of "the principle of positive education", what does it mean? firstly, it refers to the positive orientation of educational goals, because education is a activities with value connoted. Secondly it means the positive direction of educational methods, because education means guidance naturally and students need guidance in the development process. Thirdly it means that the positive content of education should neglect neither the positive nor the negative, because the positive and the negative are essential for the positive education, and both of them can achieve positive affect to the development of students. The negative education has instructive significance. The first, it can promote the cognitive capability of students. Because it can help students understand profoundly the positive, additionally enhance students' cognitive capacity by knowing the real world better, raise their ability of identifying the divergence between them, advance the comprehensive thinking, progress ability of reflecting and learning and so forth. The second, negative education can also enhance students' unyielding will of resisting the bad ones and pursuing the good ones. Because it can promote the rational capacity to resist the negative of matter, stimulate the students' proper emotion. It can enhance students' immunity to the negative ones as it also provides positive conditions to avoid the indoctrination. Generally speaking, all of them can promote students to make the progress in intelligence.This paper eventually offers numerous recommendations for positive education. First of all, following the guidance of the positive side of matter, we should recognize and acknowledge the existence and value of negative side of matter as a kind of educational resources. Secondly, positive education should make prudent use of the negative of matters, especially care about the radical choice of the appropriate presentation forms according to the level of mental development and complicated situation as confusion. Furthermore, under the guidance of the educators, students should keep contact with social practice in various forms. It is including campus practice, narrative activities, and practice of "going out and invite into campus", and so on. However, it is significant that the choice between two sides of matter should be rendered much more to the positive side, not abusing the negative side to avoid a bad impact. Thirdly, educators should guide students to understand, identify and resist the negative aspect of matters. Educators in the process of teaching must respect the autonomy of the students and avoid indoctrination, because students want autonomy, whereas indoctrination stifling the development of student autonomy. Simultaneously educators should provide the students patient persuasion and timely guidance, and use a specific and suitable method according to the psychological level of their development. What's more? We should guide the both sides of the main methods of students' reasoning and make them to learn from experience through comparing with the both sides of matter, thus, it stimulate students to develop the positive side while overcoming the negative one. Last, educators should prevent the evaluation from the labeling effect, which will be detrimental to the students' development, as the result of that, it is proposed that we should make evaluation according to the evaluation principle of "evaluate things except for the person".
