GO is a Chinese gem of traditional culture. The particular education function of GO can bring positive effects on people,especially on children, which embodys mainly in three aspects: advancing learning achievements, improving mental diathesis and empoldering cerebrum functions. In this dissertation we studied those with psychological methods.This study was made of four parts.The first part included summarizes of this study and literature.In the first chapter, we mostly introduced the study's background, purpose, method and significance, and authenticated the important concepts in the study.In the second chapter, we summarized the correlate literatures inside and outside, analyzed and discussed these questions: How did the Chinese ancients understand the relations of GO and mental diathesis? How could the game of GO affect the students' learning achievement, intelligence, personality and mental health? We also introduced the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and analyzed the relational studies.In the second part we probed that GO advanced learning achievements of pupils'.In the third chapter, we studied that GO advanced the learning achievements of pupils'. The results were that Playing GO games promoted the pupils' scores, and especially improved scores of mathematics remarkably.In the third part we discussed that GO improved the students' mental diathesis.In the fourth chapter, the content was 2nd study. We discussed that GO improved intelligence. The result showed that GO was of great benefit to intelligence. That is to say, GO can improve the total level of pupils' intelligence.In the fifth chapter, the content was 3rd study. We studied that GO could benefit the development of personality of pupils. The results were that the extraversion, neuroticism and psychoticism of those pupils who had been trained systemly for several years by GO were more better than that of the common pupils; the extraversion was developing with grade. They dealed with matters faster and more positively, and they had better start-up personality, high-level attention, and stronger volition.In the sixth chapter, the content was 4th study. We demonstrated that GO improved pupils' mental health.
