This dissertation studies the tragedy of modern Mongolian narrative folksongs in eastern Inner Mongolia according to the historical context and contradiction of multidimensional culture.The author classifies narrative folksongs into five parts based on the implication and basic structure of modern Mongolian narrative folksongs.Namely,the uprising heroes' tragic songs,women's tragic songs concerning free love,tragic songs of Lamas,tragic songs of soldiers,and tragic songs of ecological environment.In the chapter one,analyses the tragedy of uprising heroes in the modern Mongolian narrative folksongs,and clarifies the difference between national heroes and normal heroes based on the hero's actions,national consciousness and enlightenment.In the second chapter,discusses the women's tragic situation relating to freedom and free love in terms of Women's cultural thinking and social context.In the chapter three,analyses the tragic songs of lamas and reveals their superior aspects that avoid the religious doctrine and pursue personal needs.In the chapter four,soldiers' tragic ends in different historical times by different way and the reason why it must be like that based on analyses the tragic songs of soldier heroes.In the chapter five,talks about the tragic songs of ecology,presents that the unbalance of harmonious relationship between nature and society result from the modern people's moral and humanistic consciousness.
