Amis Prejudiced Phrase

This dissertation is attempted to make a systematical description on the modifier-head phrase of Amis. The modifier-head phrase is the most complex in Amis. In order to study the modifier-head phrase , we must have a full review on the syntax of Amis.From the perspective of descriptivism, the dissertation makes a precise classification and description on the modifier-head phrase.The dissertation consists of ten chapters, which are follows:Chapter one: preface.Chapter two: the summary about former production.Chapter three: the sketch of Amis.Chapter four: the classification of the modifier-head phrase.Chapter five: the properties of the modifier-head phrase.Chapter six: the agreements between the modifier and the head.Chapter seven: the relative clause and the nominalization.Chapter eight: the complex modifier-head phrase.Chapter nine: the modifier-head phrase in Taiwan austronesian.Chapter ten: conclusion.Some findings of the dissertation:1. In Amis, the opposition between Possessive and Nominal Attributes is the basic classification.2. The "V1+(a)+V2" structure belongs to the head-complement phrase, not the modifier-head phrase.3. The agreements between the modifier and the head have some relationship with the structure of the phrases.4. The nominalization is the essential feature of relative clause in Amis.5. In Amis, The basic type of expansion is increasing heads by degrees to modifiers.
