Wang Yang, Ms & L Would Like To Evaluate

Wang Yangming (1472—1529) is the representative of the Xin-xue School. The evaluation of Wang Yangming's thought is an important aspect of Neo-Confucianism research.However,a long time,on the evaluation of Wang Yang-ming's the thought,there is applied to the Western model of the situation,did not reflect the characteristics of Yang-Ming as the sixteenth century of Chinese thinkers. Another common practice of evaluation of Wang Yangming's thought is, just abstracting Yangming's thought to mere proposition,such as "xin-ji-li" , "zhi-xing-he-yi","zhi-ling-zhi",lack of Overall understanding of wang's thought.This paper,based on previous studies,making the road to holiness as the breakthrough point to understangding Wang's thought,seeking to grasp the basic idea of Wang's thought on the whole,using the approach of combining study of idea history and the society history,and the "logic of question and answer",in order to making a re-evaluation to Wang's thought. The biggest difference between Wang's concept of the saints and the previous is that he see the moral as the sole criterion for saints. From the point of how to be an saint,"xin-ji-li" is the ontological proving of being a saint,"cheng-yi"(including"shi-shang-mo-liang"and zhi-xing-he-yi")"zhi-ling-zhi "are the methods of being an saint,and "wan-wu-yi-ti-zhi-ren"is the expresion of the saint's spirit.On this basis, this article summarise the characteristics of Wang's thought. Subjectivity: Wang Yangming's main emphasis is that everone having the ability of self-realization; The features of processing: emphasize the the specific "li" linked to specific things rather than abstract one.this is another major feature of Wang's thought; The features of enlightenment: denial of the external "li",also rejected the outside of the supreme authority and the status of classic,established the status of the subjectivity; Extreme position of moral values: Wang completely put the concept of saint moralized, reflecting the extreme positiong of moral values;Strong voluntarism color: highlighted the main activities, the self-determination and the non-substantive of the subjectivity,giving the will an utmost importance status,there is a strong color voluntarism on Wang's thought.
