This paper aims at bronze arrows before Qin Dynasty discovered in Northern China.The paper can be divided into seven parts.The introduction has several contents as follows: outlines the geological and chronological range; reviews brief research history of bronze arrows; makes the intention clear and what means would be taken, defines standard that would be used in typological classification; makes textual research on subjects and collects all previous appellations for arrows, then raises appellation standard this paper would take.Chapter One: researches on bonze arrows in Xia-Shang Dynasty. In this part, on the basis of unearthed bronze arrows in Xia-Shang Dynasty, the author firstly makes typological analysis on bronze arrows patterns, divides them into two sorts, each had analysis on types separately. The author divides bronze arrows in Shang-Zhou Dynasty into four periods and six stages. Based on difference between each sort, type or sub-type on space distribution, the area could be classified as Central Area and Northern Area, in each area, according to inner differences, has several sub-areas. Then, the author analyzes cultural factors and tries to find out rules how bronze arrows evolves in Xia-Shang Dynasty.Chapter Two: researches on bronze arrows in Western Zhou. In this part, the author continues to use the analysis standard for Xia-Shang Dynasty. And firstly, concerned of typological analysis, the author divides bronze arrows in Western Zhou into three stages. Distribution area could be distinguished as Central Plain and Northern area, in each area, according to inner differences, has several sub-areas. The author also analyzes cultural factors reflected by bronze arrows. Meanwhile, researches on bronze arrows evolvement and its rules.Chapter Three: researches on bronze arrows in Eastern Zhou. Arrows in this period can be divided into five areas: central area, including Qi-Lu, Yan and Qin counties area; northern area, including western, middle, eastern and northeastern sub-areas. In the central area, standard by Three-Jin and Two-Zhou area, arrows in this region are typologically analyzed and ordered by stages, and are made comparison with areas outer central area.
