Liao, Song, Engagement System Study

The Jiaopin system of Liao and Song, is one kind of peace system which was implemented to guarantee and maintain social order of "the ritual to enemy", " sentiment of brothers", "equality between north and south ". After having subsided the war, relieved the resistance for a long time, Liao dynasty and song dynasty built this system. In history this system carried on new attempt and new way to the solution of national conflict and dispute. Since the Liao dynasty and Song dynasty abandoned the war summation, the master line of relation of both sides mainly manifested by the Jiaopin form. Then the Jiaopin system was established, which constituted the main body of Jiaopin relation between Liao dynasty and Song dynasty. In this main relation body, the escort commissioner, company commissioner, state courier-envoy who on behalf of their royal government participated directly in Jiaopin was main participator and concrete performer. If the Song Dynasty state courier-envoys go abroad on Liao dynasty as a diplomatic mission, they must carry on substantive contact and negotiation with the escort commissioner, company commissioner, commissioner-escort for foreign visitors, who were from Liao Dynasty. They respective represent their royal governments, faithfully fulfill the Jiaopin policy of their dynasties, and maintain the friendly Jiaopin relation with all one's heart. It can be said that, whether the Jiaopin relation is established and maintained relates to the Liao dynasty and Song dynasty lives and life or death. Therefore, to carry on thorough inspection and system research on system about the escort commissioner, company commissioner, commissioner-escort for foreign visitors, state courier-envoy and so on who were from Song Dynasty or Liao dynasty, will certainly be helpful to further and correctly knew relation between Liao and Song for us, may have the model and the benefit to the correct processing of ethnic relation to us today. This also is principal factor that we designated this thesis " Liao Song Jiaopin System". Furthermore, we thought this thesis also has the big academic discussion space and significance, because the Jiaopin system of Liao dynasty and Song dynasty is basically composed by two aspects. One is the system about going abroad on as a diplomatic mission, which the concurrent manager of the office of diplomatic correspondence, the state courier-envoy. One is the reception and ritual guest system, which namely the escort commissioner, company commissioner, commissioner-escort for foreign visitors and its administrative body hall partner respective this. About the former, there are very many people who have done the thorough research. But to latter, still nobody is involved, which really sense disappointed.
