The pronunciation of Chinese character is not only connected closely with the significance, but also is inseparable with the written form, therefore the correct pronunciation is the foundation of reading and literacy, and also is the premise of studying of language and character. Authough all Chinese characters in "Shuowen Jiezi "are short of the clear and comprehensive phonetic notation form, there are many experts who add phonetic notations to these characters after the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties. However, we just can see the phonetic notation form ,but not the process and distinguishing. Some experts such as Duan Yucai, Gui Fu, Wang Yun often discriminate the individual pronunciation in the process of making the notes in" Shuowen Jiezi", but their analysis are too scattered.Our research of the phonetic notation in "Shuowen Jiezi" mainly solves the pronunciation problems about the characters collected in the book , namely , how to read some characters in the Middle Ages and now. Concerned the pronunciation of the Middle Ages, we take the Xu xuan phonetic notation as the center, the phonetic notation of Zhu ao and the phonetic notation in "Zhuanyunpu" as the accessory material, and the books such as "Wangyun", "Tangyun", "Guangyun", "Yupian" as the reference objects.Besides these.we also clean up the development clue of "ShuowenJiezi " phonetic notation, analyse and simulate the actual pronunciation of individual Chinese character in " ShuowenJiezi ", and compare the result of all kinds phonetic notation .hoping to choose the quite appropriate fanqie phonetic notation. In general, the question of the pronunciation system about phonetic notation material is not included in our research ,so does the simulation of the Middle Ages pronunciation system and the concrete Middle Ages pronunciation . About the present pronunciation, we take the phonetic notation of" Hanyu Da Zidian" as the center, the book" Shuowenjindujiwujiatongjian" which is written by Li Xingjie and the book "Shuowenjiezijinyi" which is written by Tang Kejing as well as the book "Biaodianzhuyinshuowenjiezi "which is written by Cui Shuhua as the main reference objects.We also analyse the the similarities and differences of the present pronunciation of "Shuowenjiezi,and confirm the the...
