This thesis is mainly constituted by three parts, the content of each part is as below: The first part is the preface. We bring it up into the text topic by three aspects: the purpose of which we choose this topic, the problems we need to resolve and the standpoints we put forward. The second part is the main text. The third part is the bibliography and the " thanks".The second part includes seven chapters:IThe first chapter is the new textual research into the time when Marriage Destinies to Awaken the World was finished up. There are lots of divergence from the beginning to end in the academic circles. The typical standpoints are "the end of the Ming Dynasty", "Shunzhi Dynasty", "Kangxi Dynasty" and etc.. The thesis will examine and correct the time which the book was finished up woule be from the forth year of Yongzheng to the fifty-seventh year of Qianlong. The investigation is on the basis of following things:1 The guarante system of the exam. First, the system did not exist in the Ming Dynasty, it was proposed in the Qing Dynasty. Second, a new prescription which the person who was the guarantee must been assigned appeared from the fifty-seventh year in Qianlong.2 The color of the clothing. The classical book of Ming recorded what kinds of clothing the aristocrat could dress and also what kinds of clothing the populace should dress. There were many difference between them. And there were great deal of points that showed us the author break regulations frequently and naturally. All this illustrated the time must be in the Qing Dynasty.3 The title of official position. A new title of the official positions' appearance tole us that the novel must been finished beyond the forth year of Yongzheng.4 Marriage Destinies to Awaken the World , Gu Wangyan and A Dream of RedMansions. The authors of this three books got many same things after we investigated them and their books. There was a preface in Gu Wangyan said that the time of Marriage Destinies to Awaken the World and the time of Gu Wangyan were extremely closed. And we already known that the time of Gu Wangyan was the eigth year of Yongzheng. So we can make a conclusion that the time of Marriage Destinies to Awaken the World must have been the Qing Dynasty, and possibly in the forth year of Yongzheng .IIThe second chapter: Draw an out line of the author. Who was the author of Marriage Destinies to Awaken the World on earth? There are several possibilities in the academic circles. For example, Pu songling, Jia fuxi, Ding yehe. The scholars wanted to find out the similarities between all these persons and the real author of this novel. Then to make the dicision who looked like the author best, and the person was Xi zhousheng. But if we focus on the textual, we should think it deeply: all these words discribed not the aristocrat, but the populace. And how can we say that the author was not the one who did not appear on all historical files from beginning to end? What could it be that he was just a populace lived in countryside all his life? So , based on this, we should draw an out line of the author and try to find out his occupation, his official career, his social class, his age , his political point of view and his religion believes. In the end we know that the author must not be Pu songling.IllThe third chapter: the crest of the sadomasochism in Chinese classic literature. The typical characteristic of the sadomasochism is the pleasant sensation with the pain or suffering. From the classic folk songs to the novels, the sadomasochism can be find in lots of works in different Chinese historical periods. In the thesis, we try to explore the sadomasochism phenomenon in the matrimony of Xue sujie and Di xichen:l the conception of sadomasochism literature. 2 to trace back to the sadomasochism phenomenon in the classic folk songs. 3 there was a high tide when this literature style developed to Jin Pingmei and Liaozhai A Marriage Destinies to Awaken the World is the crest of the sadomasochism inChinese classic literature: (Drancor and the rancor of Iove(g)Di xichen's masochism in the early stage(3)the beginning of the sadomasochism between Xue and Di@the upsurge of the sadomasochism between Xue and Di(5)the extremity of the sadomasochism between Xue and Di.IVThe forth chapter: the whole moral principles system. It will be researched deeply on the function of the Confucianism, the Taoist religion and the Buddhism. It was always emphasized by the academic circles that the main morality in the novel was the cause and effect. But we could find another different conclusion: 1 the moral ideal of the Taoist religion, for example, benevolence and righteousness, filial piety, contented and etc.. 2 Although the ideal of the Taoist were glorious and pure, because of its lack of political proactice, it could not be used by the ruler and was substituted by the Confucianism. 3 the thinking of the cause and effect was not the core in the whole moral principles system, it just was the means to intimidate the people and made them to be obedient.VThe fifth chapter: the narration art. The distinction on the narration art are the following:1 the author, the narrator, the story teller, and the characters in the novel alternately appeared.2 different people to told the story in turn and different people narrated one same thing. 3 the structure of the novel should be called "the beefsteak style" and "the netted style". 4 And it also got another special characteristic: the title roles' changing. 5 the time was the key of the whole story. 6 three times: present times, past times and the future. 7 there were great deal of short stories out of the title roles, but they got the very important position to the dominant ideas. 8 the author used the classic narration arts proficiently.VIThe sixth chapter: the annals of the novel. According to the sequence of the novel, weThe seventh chapter: the title of the short stories in the novel. This chapter consist of almost all short stories existed in the main plot. They seemed that they were dissociated to the main polt, but they were so important that the novel might be dull and dry without them.
