| The thesis focuses on Xiong-Shiil's Buddhist philosophy. He drew on Buddhist philosophy to enrich Confucianism.But he worshiped Confucianism and belittled Buddhist., Based on the overall appraisal of Xiong's Buddhistphilosophy, the thesis goes deeper, puts forward the following arguments :(1) Xiong's philosophy obviously embodied the theoryof origin from Dharmadhatu of the Hua—yen School.(2)Ksana in Xiong's works played the role of ontology in his philosophy, which is similar with therole of Ksana in Dinaga and Dharmakirti's hetuvidyaontology and Buddhist epistemology. Xiong and Dinaga and Dharmakirti explained realist world in common sense on Ksana. The Xing-Zhi in Xiong's philosophy, enlighting on noumenon, is similar with pratyaksa-pramana in Hetuvidya;and the Liang-Zhi in Xiong's philosophy is similar withanumana-pramana, The five categories of Xiong also came from tri-rupa—linga of Hetuvidyd.(3) The instantaneously Appear and Disappear, efficacyof the cosmos of Ksana absorbed by Xiong merged withthe theory of Zhou-Yi. This laid the foundation of active ontology for Chinese traditional philosophy, especially Neo-Confucianism. And Ksana also has the similar thoughts with the theory of origin from Dharmadhatu. So we can say that based on the two peaks of Chinese and Indian Buddhist philosophy, Xiong developed his Ti-Yong-Xiang-JIphilosophy (ie. Ti merged with Yong).Finally, the thesis puts forward that Xiong's philosophy embodied the beauty that exceeded moral principles, with the characteristics of quasi-religion.
