The topic of the Research Into The Pailu Documents was formed under the support of the theoretical achievements of the contents and ways of researching in the "Separation of Periods". In order to explain the special phenomenon that the poems of Pailu came first in Tang Dynasty while earned the formal name of Pailu in Yuan Dynasty and prospered in Ming Dynasty, the author of the Doctor's thesis would try to follow the clue enlightened by Professor Huo Songlin's theories and methods to trace back to dig out the original documents and to communicate data in a wide range of literature.The Introduction of the thesis outlined the motive, intention and scope of the research in this thesis, which may help made the phenomenon of the special history of the development of the Pailu poems. Further more, with the citing of the concerning documents about the ideas of the origins and developments of Pailu and with the brief introduction of the history of research into the Pailti to uncover the academic value of the research into Pailu.The first passage of the thesis discusses the concepts of the Form of Poem of Tang Dynasty in the minds of the poets in Ming Dynasty. Though there were many arguments about the contemporary poems, and many anthologies of contemporary poems in Tang Dynasty, no book about the form of poems of Tang Dynasty found, nor about the contemporary poems. It was in Ming Dynasty that the research into the Pailu came to a prosperity and formed a good theoretical construction, for which the reception and dispersing of the poems in the Form of Tang Dynasty was one of the most important causes. In the passage, the author would make an induction and comparison of the literary phenomena of "Ti", "Lu", "Ji Tang", "Ni Tang", "Yong Tang", "Fang Tang", "Xiao Tang" and "Ji Tang" to prove the mature ideas of the poems and the forms of the poems of Tang Dynasty and therefore analyzing the traces and steps of the origins of the concept of and the developments of the writing of the Pailu.The second passage analyses the relations between the active movements of the cliques of poems and the prosperity of Pailti writing in Ming Dynasty. It was a good habit of forming cliques by the poets in Ming Dynasty, who formed cliques those rank the first place in history in numbers and scale, which may be another important cause of the acknowledgements of separation of forms of poems and the large scale writing ofPailu. The passage emphasizes commenting and describing the correlations of the activities and the writing of Pailti through the introductions of the methods of expression of the Jin Ti Poems like: "Fen Yun", "Xian Yun", "Yong Yun", "Ci Yun", "He Yun", "Qiang Yun" and "Kou Zhan". The foundation of the comments was the concerned documents.The third passage would make a collective research into the using of the rhyming words in the Ping Shui Yun in the Pailti of Ming Dynasty. The rhyming words in the Ping Shui Yun were widely used in the Pailti of Ming Dynasty. The research into the phonology of the "Ge Lti" of poems met the turn to the practical stage from the theoretical stage. The using of "Shang Ping" and "Xia Ping" was very proficient. The Ping Shui Yun was very widely used in the writing of poems and was mentioned in the titles in an obvious position from Yuan to Ming Dynasty, especially in the latter period, which was the most prosperous time of the rhyming history of poems. The counter-research of the rules of rhyming in the Ping Shui Yun into the poems of Tang Dyansty made another good source of studying the "Ge Lu" of the poems in Tang and Song Dynasties.The fourth passage would make an inquiry into the inter-period and the extraterritorial establishment of the name of the form of poem of Pailti. The Pailti was formed in Tang Dynasty but the name first appeared in the Tang Yin written by Yang Shi Hong in Yuan Dynasty, which was widely accepted in Ming Dynasty. It was in Ming Dynasty that the concept of Pailti first used in the form of Tang poems which was a good source for the research into the Pailu. This passage would make the inquiry through studying the using of the concepts of "Pai Lu" and "Chang Lti". With the collecting of the documents of the using and research of the concepts mentioned above in the titles and the bodies of poems, the passage would line out the growing clear of the concept of Pailti. This passage would also confer to the definite of the concepts like "Lti", "Chang Lu" and "Duan Lu" and the relations between them and the Pailu. This would be made with the documents of Pailu.The fifth passage mainly studies the research of the hundred rhyming words Pailu, and discusses the development of the hundred line Pailti of five or seven words. The writing of the hundred line Pailti was an utmost achievement of the writing of the Pailu, in which the Five Word Pailti experienced an inter-period development and a great abundance of styles. The concepts, forms, styles and forms of the Lu Shi were centralized shown in the hundred line Pailu, which made it a good example of discussing the core meanings of the Pailu.
